Classic, historic brick firehouse interior, friendly service, and wonderful food. We enjoyed the wood oven broccolini and smoked sausage pizza with anchovies. Stand out Italian wine list, with focus on the south, with excellent $30-40 options.

They still make wonderful Naples-style pizza (this time the roasted mushroom - yum!); and of course the grilled mussels with drawn butter are pillowy-soft - truly the best anywhere. We added the House Made Tagliatelle with Manila clams, sausage, white wine, chili, garlic, parsley, pecorino, grilled bread, which was scrumptious, and the Chicken Liver Mousse Crostino with charred onion, cauliflower... This place has a warm and cozy atmosphere with tasty wood-fired pizzas and salads. It's a nice spot for a family dinner and there's plenty of parking nearby.

I had never been to the Firehouse but went there for a friend's birthday. It is a "different" menu -- not too many entrees, but several other things (small plates, appetizers, pizzas, salads, etc., but with an italian theme. As a group of four, we got three entrees, 5 little plates, 2 salads, and the mussels and shared it all.... More

While in Portland, we stayed at an AirBnb just a few blocks from Firehouse. Firehouse was really the only spot to stop in for dinner within walking distance in this particular area, so we were glad to have found it. I felt the ambiance of the converted firehouse was unique and provided a good option for couples, families or even... More

Conveniently located in the heart of NW Portland, the Firehouse offers a diverse menu with a genuinely inviting environment. The menu has enough variety to meet a wide assortment of tastes. I had the burger and it was a good midday meal. My table mates partook in the Ruben sandwich and the grilled cheese. Glowing reviews from each. The fireplace... More
