Four of us had dinner at Q on a recent Saturday night. At 5:30 parking was easy and that started the evening on a good note. It got even better after that. We were quickly seated at a nice table and our wine was opened...and served. We were never rushed and the service was impeccable, very attentive servers but not obtrusive. We all had salads, the Caesar and an interesting Hearty Greens with local seasonal greens. Two of us had the Cannelloni special and it was filled with a delicious mix of seafood including calamari, scallops ,shrimp and a white fish. Another had Ossa Buco that is a Q specialty. and the fourth member of our group had the thickest NY Steak I have ever seen. That seems to be a Q theme: all entrees have opulent portions, worth every penny. Kudos to Chef Annie and the staff!More

I chose this restaurant while working in Portland due to reviews and proximity to the theater. I opted for the kitchen side dining experience. It was fun to watch the chef and staff create amazing dishes. I also got a special tasting of the octopus...ceviche. I don’t think you can go wrong with whatever you order here. I had the sangria, grilled pork belly, halibut, cookies and cream ice cream and tres leches cake- my belly was happy!More

Very good food, service is fine, but the cost is a little bit higher than expected. the wine "pinot noir from Oregon" was fine, the chicken was good, the Rosso buck was too "cheesy"

Q Restaurant in downtown is a hidden gem with friendly service, albeit a tad slow. The falafel was a standout, incredibly light and flavorful. I loved the ossobucco, a true delight. My daughter found the squid seafood pasta a bit underwhelming, but the barramundi with...fruit sauce was a delicious surprise. Worth a visit for inventive and delicious food.More

The receptionist at our hotel recommended this restaurant to us. We were traveling with another couple who were celebrating an anniversary. We were able to walk to the Q restaurant and we’re immediately impressed with the decorum. It has the look and feel of a...very upscale restaurant, but we were all in very comfortable clothes. The menu, though pricey, was exceptional. We ordered mostly light fare and shared everything. Our compliments go out to Annie Cuggino, the Executive chef, for an absolutely delicious meal. The only thing better than the meal, were the desserts. We ordered three and shared. This is a fantastic restaurant with a great vibe and great food. Our waitress was very nice and very attentive. If you are visiting Portland, you should put The Q Restaurant and Bar on your list. We will definitely return the next time we are in town.More

We had dinner at Q one night when we spent a few days in Portland in July 2023, and it was outstanding. The dishes were thoughtful and creative, and they were prepared with great care and attention to detail. In addition to the flavours, much...thought was put into the interesting and very satisfying combinations of textures. We had the pork belly lettuce wraps, seafood tagliatelle, and a special. We also had excellent sazeracs. Service was excellent, friendly and attentive. The place is very nice inside with a nice bar, and large windows along the whole length. We plan to go back when we are again in town.More

We had great options for the vegetarians in the group, good walking location to downtown, and a nice atmosphere. Good for couples and small groups.

We had a wonderful meal. So much care went into sourcing and preparing delicious ingredients and in making things in house. We started with the cheese and fruit plate which had an amazing selection of European cheeses. The fried chicken entree was beautiful and tasty...and the halibut with risotto was disappeared without any effort at all! The ice cream bon bon and sorbet were packed full of flavour and presented beautifully. Justin looked after us with so much care.More

Booked in advanced, arrived about 20min late on July 4th as car parking in the area is very limited and we spent 30’ looking for a spot. We got rejected with no mercy. I struggle to understand a restaurant in downtown Portland that refuses two...tourists with a reservation showing up with a delay in such situation. Restaurants here should be grateful that tourists still show up. Downtown Portland, where the restaurant is located, is full of drug addicts and homeless, overall the streets feel unsafe. a really unacceptable situation for any tourist coming from a developed country with welfare. Will not try to go again to this restaurant, will not go back to Portland eitherMore

WOW… What an amazing culinary experience stopping in here for lunch was!!! I had heard that the chef here was amazing and found out one day when I came for lunch. I sat at the bar since I didn’t make reservations and they were busy....It was tough choosing form the amazing menu, but I opted for the Walu sandwich. They offered Ono for a fish option too, but I chose the Walu, since I’d never had it before. I started with a bean soup, which was outstanding! The fish sandwich was incredible! The slaw really tied it all together and made this Hawaiian sandwich really snap! I saved room for dessert when I learned that they had warm marcona almond cake and I’m thankful I did, as it was outstanding! Overall – I highly suggest this amazing restaurant… it was easily the best I experienced on my trip to Portland!More

We considered ourselves lucky to secure a walk-in table at this highlight rated restaurant which really requires a reservation in advance. However, whilst the service was fine, we found the food mediocre, lacking inspiration, and not particularly well executed...even the burger was over-cooked.

Different opinions from our group about this place, which i think came down to the dishes ordered. We all thought the appetizers that we shared were delicious- crispy spring rolls, plus a smoky calamari. I loved my fresh fish entree. What elevated these dishes was...the clever use of fresh herbs in sauces that perfectly balanced everything. The dishes that weren’t winners were a hamburger that was a tad underdone, a too spicy soup, and a flavorless seafood stew like dish.More

Beautiful restaurant and bar, good service. Food was not that distinct. We had bread (separate charge) that didn't seem that fresh, a large 5 citrus salad (dressing just so-so) and a tasty ribeye with scalloped-type potatoes that my husband loved. Cocktails seemed skimpy. Dessert was...also underwhelmingMore
