My friend and I tried to go to some swanky BBQ restaurant across the street, and were told by the waiter that they were pretty much out of everything, which was incredibly disappointing, because it was 7pm, how does that even happen? My friend had been to Crush before and suggested it. It was perfect. Nice staff, good food, calm... More

I only had drinks here. We ordered a sangria which was not on the menu. I got my sangria and it was the bomb!!!!! Thank you so much. We sat out on the street tables and enjoyed the pleasant day. They have a smoking side and a no smoking side. Dogs are welcome. This is a very popular place.

This is what I would call a contemporary (happening) place. There seemed to be a lot going on with lots of couples and small groups. Everyone seemed to be having a lot of fun, but it wasn't loud or obnoxious. Food was good, drinks were also good.

Crush is a friendly neighborhood gay-owned queer-ish cocktail bar that happens to serve amazing food and has a weird dance/performance space in the back. I completely ignore the back part, because the staff and majority of other patrons are so friendly it's better to hang out in the front to meet people or just people watch. I'll admit that I've... This is not a "gay" bar. This is an EVERYONE bar, and I love that Crush accepts everyone. The drinks, food and service are usually above average, and a much better alternative to some of the other local bars. Try the flat nachos with pulled pork, they are amazing!

my husband and i drove into portland from seattle and really had no idea where we were going or what we were doing. seattle really left a bad taste in our mouth as far as the kind of service we were getting at restaurants. first stop in portland was for some really great beer and then we kinda just wondered... Crush has awesome yams with curry gravy, one of many great happy hour deals that go a bit beyond the general bar food fare. Friendly servers and a fun atmosphere that sometimes includes live music.

We went to Crush for dinner after we found the restaurant we planned to visit was closed. It was amazing. Very friendly. Didn't know it was a gay bar until I read the other reviews before I wrote this. The food was incredible. My friend said it was absolutely the best carrot soup she has ever had. I had a... More

This is a wonderful local gay/whatever bar, welcoming all with great drinks (all bartenders are wonderful though we love Steve fiercely), awesome (as in really fresh yummy and a good value) food & a really chill atmosphere. The owner is a hunky man too and keeps things lively as ever. Visit Crush and be ready to enjoy!
