5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 days ago NEW

If this isn't a Portland staple, I don't know what is. What better way to kick off the New Year than to add more calories?? We went on a freezing post-holiday day when they just opened (so no wait!). We were able to sample quite a bit of flavors, more like All the January flavors and some of the regular... More

One of the best iced cream shoppes in America bar none. This totally lives up to the hype and I hope it goes national

I lucked out with my first visit and did not have to wait in line! I sampled 4 of the flavors and then came back the next day, waited in a short line, and sampled 4 more. While I was not blown away by all the samples, enough stood out to make me want more. They have a few "normal"... More

Homemade ice cream with innovative flavor combinations. The servers are very friendly and generous with the samples. The long lines don't lie. It's definitely worth the wait.

I hate line-ups. Most of the time when I see one, I just walk on by rather than get into the thick of one. With Salt & Straw, though, I make an exception to my rule because their ice cream is just so consistently delicious! If you simply can't wait in line, but can't resist the frozen treats, then just... I amd a lifelong 63 year old gelato, sorbet / sorbetto, ice cream lover but find all of the flavors of ice cream at salt and straw to be extremely sweet- inedible. the popularity of this place is a mystery to me.

You just need to try this place, it pretty much beats every other modern ice-cream place around. I wasn't expecting much as it had a lot of hype but I was proven wrong. So good....

The only negative I can say about Salt n Straw is that seating is limited and sometimes I'd like it a touch creamier. That's it though, it hits every box for me, awesome at what they do, fantastic people working, festive atmosphere, delicious and creative food. Go enjoy, try a sample of everything.

Of all the different options on NW 23rd to have a meal or snack, Salt and Straw is by far the best place for ice cream!! Seriously, go to visit the famous NW 23rd ave for all the shops and restaurants but stop in to S&S for ice cream. Certainly one of the best treats in the city.

Wow love the salted carmel icecream. Dont try to go in the evening on a summer evening there is a line around the block. Want a good time go during the day and take it home and refreeze. Either way you cant go wrong
