Excelllent Tapas, and at 15 grams for $6.50 best price in town for jamón ibérico de bellota . The anchovy Is wonderful. Most Americans frown on anchovies but these ones will turn you. Marinated(?) in vinegar they are not salty at all and with a little olive oil and baguette they are tasty. The Pulpo(octopus) and Gamba(shrimp) were a little... More

I have mixed feelings about this place. Loved the vinho verde rosé that we had, loved the tinned clams. The pinxtos were good - loved the olives and ham. Great wine selection. We had a good time but the service was hit and miss and the decor as well. Could be great, needs a little polish.

Maybe we were just visiting at the wrong time, but what an overpriced, weirdly-serviced, unimpressive experience. We wanted an afternoon snack and read good things about Bar Vivant, so we drove over, got TV-quality parking right out front, but wandered into a weird scene of people clustered around a case showing nice deserts. We had no idea we had to... More

Everything there is top notch, outstanding! Really enjoyed everything we tried. We had the happy hour house red wine. the olives, and 3 of the things with bread. One had prosciutto & triple cream cheese on a slice of baguette, another had salmon, another had a roasted pepper with something really delish inside. The little quail egg things are good... More

We tried a lot of different tapas here & were very pleased with all but the Champis (Mushrooms in garlic.) It's a little pricy if you want to make a meal out of it ($130+ for 3 people sampling about 15 plates with 2-3 drinks each. The house red was very good. We came during happy hour (you get a... More

Bar Vivant was one we tried at the end of a long day, so I'm sorry to say we didn't sample any more of their food other than some of the desserts, but these in and of themselves were enough to bring us back for more, delicious! However, what makes this place truly special and unique is their 44 PAGE... More

It's like a play that just opened. All the excitement of opening night (lots of customers, good buzz). Nice new set (upscale hipster lounge). Intriguing plot (French pastries meet Spanish tapas over drinks: what will happen?). Everything tastes great, from the small tapas offereings to the very wonderful Pix desserts. But something's just not quite star quality about this place...... More

If the overall ambiance is less than memorable, the Tapas I had here were about as good or better than thenTapas I had in Barcelona. Especially the churros com chocolate, the churros crisp and delicious and the chocolate rich and decadent. Even though its a little out of the city center, I highly recommend a visit.

This new location is trying to be like a pintxos bar in San Sebastian Spain but it really misses the mark the people in Basque country really know how to cook and get great flavors but this location really has no idea what they are doing, the wait staff are not very friendly and it is really for hipster's only...
