I spent many an evening at Bluehour in the past when I lived in Portland and worked nearby. I was looking forward to some local Oregon oysters with my wife, but when they arrived the half shells were not shucked properly and were full of...More

First but NOT our last visit; especially nice for brunch. We were most fortunate because the Sunday we chose also 'happened' to be the first one they had a live jazz trio playing music. It was so relaxing and the food was as soothing as...More

Love the happy hour. Great Ceasar, fries, Killer house made drinks, one of the best burgers for sure. House bottle of wine was $20 but is not $24. times are changing.

We stopped here initially for a pre-dinner cocktail as we had reservations at another restaurant. But, after a couple of Bootsy Collinses and a look at the unique menu (and a bit of persuasion from our delightful waitress), we decided to eat at Bluehour. A...More

We stopped in for a small plate dinner and we ate outside. Everything we ordered was tasty. We have smaller appetites but like to try different things. We ordered two appetizers and a pasta and were quite satiated.

Bluehour is one of those over priced and overrated restaurants in Portland. To its credit, its totally cool but you can get better food elsewhere very easily

We at here Mother's Day, a difficult day for restaurants. Except for a slight glitch in misplacing our reservation, everything was perfect. There was a three course menu from which to choose. Starters we chose were berries with ricotta and honey (wonderful), homemade granola, and...More

Enjoyed a lovely Easter brunch this year! Bluehour offered a fixed price menu which worked well for all including me, the vegetarian. The food was delicious, the drinks unique and well crafted. All and all, a very enjoyable experience!

The Malbec and Tempranillo by the glass were sumptuous. We came for happy hour and I was prepared to stay for dinner, but I got turned off by the appetizers. Tempura asparagus sounded excellent - and it seemed to be whisked to us rather quickly...More

Bluehour means different things to different people. In French literature it describes any time of day "of heightened emotion." In Portland it has come to mean "a great place to dine." As the premier modern restaurant in the Pearl District, Bluehour opened its doors in 2000, with what Gourmet Magazine describes as, "the most sophisticated, contemporary food in town." Guests choose between the elegant dining room or the casual cafe and bar. Simple, delicious and classic describes the Mediterranean cuisine we create in the Bluehour kitchen each night. The menu is printed daily, but Bluehour standards remain, like the pillowy potato gnocchi with black truffle and the perfectly seared, bacon wrapped sea scallops.
