This place has one of the best happy hours I've been to in a long time. Food options at a ton of price points $2-$7 for very good portions. I had the pork udon and it was dinner for my night. $5 house cocktail was...More

Arrived just before 5 pm on a Thursday evening and were met with a blast of what someone must have believed was music from the sound system. Typical noisy Portland bar overwhelmed by the sound system racket. Probably should have but didn't walk out. Very...More

Despite the menu sounding good, my boyfriend and I were pretty disappointed with this place. First, our appetizer was delivered after our entrees which was not a huge deal. Once we both tried the food we came to the same conclusion: store bought Ramen has...More

Saucebox had an interesting menu, but the service is average. We ordered a bottle of local Chardonnay but the waiter came back and told us that it was sold out. He proposed another Californian Chardonnay but when the wine was served I realised that it...More

This is a restaurant that features many small plates that are tasty and unusual. The bar is crazy noisy, but the dining room is a bit quieter. The service was slow because I think they were understaffed. But every dish we ordered was delicious.

We tried out Saucebox based on our hotel's recommendation and were not disappointed. We stuck to small plates and enjoyed basically Asian fusion tapas. Very popular at happy hour.

Established in 1995, Saucebox has maintained its reputation in the city as the place for the finest Pan-Asian and Pacific Island cuisine. The menu pulls from a wealth of bold and authentic flavors. Fruit infusions, elixirs and our notable "liquor laboratory" are also specialties of the house.
