FOOD I am a Peruvian food virgin. Or was, I should say. I had the Pescato Al Rocoto Y Kion, the roasted fish that was served with smoked pork broth, bok choy, and quinoa fried rice. Tonight they happened to have mahi mahi. I love mahi mahi! My mahi mahi came out raw, so it was sent back. So sad!... More

Enjoyed a nice luncheon with a business associate at Andina, but glad I wasn't the one to have to determine the tip for our server, who barely cracked a smile while we were there. It wasn't horribly busy, and we were among the first to arrive for lunch. Perhaps it was just an off day. I will likely go back... More

One of my top-five places in Portland. If you've never had Peruvian food, you are in for a treat. Get several dishes and share. Fresh, great spices, fantastic atmosphere. Don't miss it.

Love Andina! My favorite restaurant, I am Peruvian and I loved the food, the service, everything! Doris ( The owner) it is very friendly and nice lady. I have been here for my birthday or when we have guest at home. I really recommend it if you want to taste and enjoy Peruvian flavor! :)

It was our first restaurant since we moved to Portland and remains our favorite. Pricey, but worth the price tag. Peruvian cuisine with a Pacific NW twist.

Andina has become our FAVORITE restaurant. It took us ages to get here (having lived in Portland for 22 years...) and now whenever we have a special event, we make sure to book a table. The consistency of excellent service, knowledgeable staff, exquisite flavor combinations makes this restaurant truly a DINING EXPERIENCE.

This place is outstanding. If you like spicy and sweet cocktails you must try their Sacsayhuaman drink, habanero infused vodka & passionfruit puree. The tapas are so good I can't stop eating them and their "salsa trio" with bread is unique and favorable. You must go with friends, so you can order lots of tapas and split everything. Must try:... Good live music that did not limit conversation. Everything on the menu we sampled was terrific. Service was exemplary. Great place for a date!

Andina is great and if money is no object, it is worth trying. However, I have had just as good or better food in Portland at a much lower price--and with nice ambiance too. If it were less pricy I would have given a 4.

Andina draws inspiration from the native culinary traditions of Peru, as well as from the contemporary cooking by some of Peru’s leading chefs. Owner Doris Rodriguez de Platt, collaborates with Andina’s kitchen team to develop a menu that celebrates her family’s Andean roots, interweaving the ideas and techniques of both Criollo and Novo-Andean cuisines. The kitchen sources native and local ingredients to create dishes at once traditionally rooted and personally inspired. Founded in 2003, Andina emerged as one of the region’s leading Peruvian restaurants and continues to generate wide appeal within the food communities in and around Portland, and much further afield.
