My wife, son and I had a wonderful lunch today at Andina. We started with fresh warm bread and three dipping sauces. Perfect, warm whole grain bread. A peanut based sauce, a mango?, tangy sauce with a pleasant spice "sucker punch" at the end, and finally a green sauce with ground jalapeños (less spicy than the fruit based sauce). My... More

We went with another. Purple and shared several tapas before our main course. Then I ordered the tamales and stuffed peppers and I was in love with it all. For dessert I ordered the bourbon banana ice cream and everyone at the table tried it and loved it. This spot is great for sharing with other foodies.

Great food, excellent service, lovely atmosphere. An olde garde restaurant by Portland's young standards, Andina has always been a great place to bring family from out of town, or guest you want to impress and leave a lasting memory with.

We had excellent tapas and drinks. I'm a tapas lover; small plates give the opportunity to experience more dishes. So delicious. The music was a nice addition to the evening

There are many reasons why I adore the luscious Peruvian flavors that Andina offers! For starters, their Happy Hour serves up incredible cocktails, decent appetizers and lovely Tapas. Being that I am on a budget, I take the opportunity to enjoy the Happy Hour at Andina when I can. A perfect place to go when it is wet outside and... More

We came here while visiting Portland from the east coast, to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. We made reservations several weeks in advance, and were quickly seated upon arrival. We had a wonderful server who provided recommendations when asked. We shared one entree (lomo saltado - one of my favorite dishes ever!), and 4 small plates. Everything was delicious -... More

How many places do you see the owner's mother walking around talking to guests and sharing her stories with them?! We heard fascinating stories about her experiences coming from Peru and feeling apprehensive first time when she heard about her son's idea to start a restaurant! She told us a funny story about trying to make ice cream out of... More

Been going here for years and while it has kept up with the fast paced Portland restaurant scene, it hasn't lost its soul or flavor. A must on anyones list.

What a great spot to share authentic Peruvian cuisine in a great setting in Portland! The food is awesome and vegetarian friendly. Great wine selection and awesome service. Hard to go wrong here.

Andina draws inspiration from the native culinary traditions of Peru, as well as from the contemporary cooking by some of Peru’s leading chefs. Owner Doris Rodriguez de Platt, collaborates with Andina’s kitchen team to develop a menu that celebrates her family’s Andean roots, interweaving the ideas and techniques of both Criollo and Novo-Andean cuisines. The kitchen sources native and local ingredients to create dishes at once traditionally rooted and personally inspired. Founded in 2003, Andina emerged as one of the region’s leading Peruvian restaurants and continues to generate wide appeal within the food communities in and around Portland, and much further afield.
