Get the hush puppies & the bloody Mary! I loved this great little BBQ place. It had a very nice selection of meats and side dishes that made this southern girl pretty excited.

Was seated right away. Service was fair but way too long a wait for the food. Food prices are way over what they should be. Portions are small for what you pay and the bar-b-cue was what appeared to be yesterdays as it was only semi-warm and very dry----should have been hot and moist. Lunch without drinks was over $30... Good BBQ place in town. The sauces they have are good. The Killer could be more spicy since I love spicy. The BBQ ribs are good. Fries are good. Will come back for sure!

We loved Russell Street! We found parking rather easily, and upon walking in were met with a friendly greeting. Decor is fresh and fun. We started with the pimento cheese appetizer (YUM!) and the hush puppies. I don't usually eat fried anything but wow, these were so good I had to indulge! The server also brought some fritos which we... More

This place wouldn't last five minutes in the south, but for the PDX it will make you cream your jeans because it tastes good enough and the meat has a smile scent.

The ribs were great as was the sauteed kale! Brown ale was yummy! Service was excellent! We were the last one in the place and we were not hurried to leave at all. It started to rain after as we were waiting outside for the Uber driver. Our server came out and asked if we wanted to wait inside while... More

I stopped here for lunch with some local friends. This a nice little place with limited parking on the street. It is located out of the downtown area. The food was great, the strawberry lemonade was wonderful. My only complaint that their water tasted funny to me... but I believe that is all Portland's water, because my local friends didn't... Most restaurants don't seem to get started until five on this street. If you are a bit earlier than that, this place won't disappoint you. It's comfortable, clean, sort of country decor, with bar B Que choices that are tender and succulent. The waiter, he's very helpful and willing to guide you to having a meal that will suit your... My husband and I once again were in Portland in search of new and good places to eat. We decided to dedicate this trip to finding good barbeque. The reviews for Russell Street sounded good, so we gave it a try. We went for dinner, I had the brisket dinner with two sides, I chose baked beans and mac &... More

My wife & I love good barbeque and Russell Street certainly fills the bill. My kids (adults & some teens) all love the place as well. Diane, the owner is a real gem. She always asks how the meals are and makes sure everything is excellent.
