Looked like a cool place to go during my trip to Portland. Some fun looking designs. Pretty disappointing though 😕 "Characteristics of Voodoo Dolls are all different" they say. I think the characteristics of mine are ... 'a bit rubbish .... ' Best part of...the visit was the security guy outside ... He pointed at a pink spot on the ground for me to stand on. There was no-one else around - not in the line, not on the block. So I didn't wait exactly on the spot. I might have been, three or maybe even four feet away from it. He tells me to go back to the spot. There's no one else here. Stand on the spot. Even if someone else comes, you'll remember me. There will be two people and you have to remember who was here first. Go on the spot. It's there - a metre away. It makes no difference. I wondered what 'Keep Portland Weird' meant. Security Guy showed me. Or was that just plain odd ? GET weirder Portland ! *Oh - and they didn't do coffee. What donut shop doesn't do coffee ... ?More

These donuts live up to the hype with their delicious taste and decent size, offering a fun variety. A must-try for any donut enthusiast seeking both flavor and fun!

I mean... the donuts are over the top and I guess if you are looking for that experience, it's worth trying them once. We just didn't think they were that great; the filling was very unevenly distributed (like, halfway through the donut, does it have...any filling at all? Oh, there it is, all globbed into one enormous mouthful. Uhh...) and the toppings were very very sweet. They are entertaining and giant. That's kinda it. I felt like I had eaten a jar of jam topped with a thick layer of icing. For delightful donut flavor I'd take a krispie kream any time. Or the mini donuts down the street at the Pine St Market, where you get all the crazy variety in slightly more manageable quantities!More

This is a very good Voodoo Doughnut location. It’s located in downtown Portland, Oregon. In the evening the in-store portion is closed, but there is a walk-up window to you can order doughnuts to-go. The doughnuts are delicious. I definitely recommend ordering from this location.

So freakin delicious. Even a day later they were still fresh. They will write on your donut. Cool tees and socks. You must do the Photo Booth. Go during a late morning during a weekday or there will be a line.

I've heard how popular this place was for years, so was my experience matched to the hype? From taste alone, I would say yes. The donuts I tried included the Bacon Maple, Voodoo Doll, Diablos Rex, & the Sweet Cream Cannolo. Each one had a...unique flavor, and varied in size. Some were the more common size you'd see with donuts, while others were as big as my own hand! It took me a few days before I could finish all four of them, but it was worth it. My favorite was the Bacon Maple. I'd say the only problem is that this place appears to be so popular, that it has its own security. Therefore, you don't get to really take in the ambiance of the place because you're rushing to pay for your order. The cashier was sweet, so I'm grateful for that, otherwise it just felt like I was hurried into a crowded club and all you want to do is run back out as fast as you can. I would recommend people to try these donuts, as they are a staple of Portland culture. But, don't expect to take your time deciding what you want. I suggest researching the menu first before you visit, so you don't hold up the line.More

Happened upon this place by accident, then realized I had heard it was a must do, so I surveyed the line. Was it worth it? I wondered... I was told it would be about a 15-minute wait, and it was 15 minutes on the nose....Great timing by the security guard out front. Why was there a security guard?? The donuts were attractive, but had some pretty wild options, in my opinion. Anyway, I was shuttled in and out (rather rudely and quickly); I consumed the ONE donut I purchased. It was a maple cream, and while it was good, it wasn't the best donut I ever had. Oh well, now I can mark this one off my list... even though it was never really on it.More

This place is very popular among visitors and local, so you have to line up and wait for a period of time. I had the homer, bacon maple bar, and voodoo doll. All three were delicious.

They have really creative and great-tasting donuts and it's worth a visit even if you aren't a donut fan. However, their fame gone to their heads a bit-it almost seemed like they were doing you a favor when they sold you a donut.

It’s hailed as a must-do in Portland, so we go. You have to wait in line out the door, and the security guard lets you in. As you wait, look at the colored board on the wall to decide which you want. We got the...Voodoo Donut and a Portland Cream and paid $8! So if I wanted a dozen I would need to shell out close to $50??!! Donuts were super sweet. The Portland cream didn’t have a lot of custard. Donuts were ok, and now we’ve done it and don’t have to do it again.More
