Great selection of wine and cheese and good assortment of fresh seafood and a variety of delicious cuts of meat and cold cuts, etc. Parking available and a wonderful shopping experience even if you are not living in the city.

This is one of my favorite stores that I don't get to enough. A pasta shop, fish market, vegetable store and meat market all in one space and all specialty providers. You can get everything for a classy picnic or a gourmet meal here, but you won't really find bargains but the fresh pasta is exceptional.

On a nice day it can be fun to walk around this place and pick up lunch or something to make for dinner. Lots of specialty foods. They give lots of tastings so you know what your buying, a big plus. This is a market place with great staff, knowledgeable and friendly.

Several different entities share the space, and this makes it fun to grab Olympia Provisions sausage, a quarter-loaf of ciabatta, and local flowers along with a bottle or three of wine.

I go to City Market when I want a prime cut of meat, or fresh (live) seafood, as well as some great pasta not dried and boxed. You will pay top price, but they even have counter people who know all about the food they sell, and they even have a butcher

if you are looking for cheese this is the place to come to. Katy the cheese monger will not steer you wrong. She is the best! Also, fish is excellent, charcuterie the same. This is a great place to find fresh food at a reasonable price.

Really nice organic market with a charcuterie and sandwich bar. The wine selection is awesome and though I didn't buy any, the fish selection looked great

Another one of my favorite Portland places, City Market NW is fantastic! The people who work there are so knowledgeable about everything in that market and they are so helpful. My favorite part is going in and being able to buy a few small bites of whatever I want in their cheese and specialty gourmet vittles section. Oh the decadence... More

Beautiful market w/ great food. The fresh pasta can be cut for you on demand. They have amazing hamds and salami's. They had delicious prepared foods. The fish is beautiful. The main down side to this place is the price. It's so expensive, it can be cheaper to eat out. I like to go here to get appetizers when I... More

+ This is a fun little shop, and reminded us a bit of the charcuteries and fromageries we loved in France. We particularly enjoyed Pastaworks, with their delightful meat and cheese selection. The service is great, and if you can't decide what you want they're happy to give you a taste. They can also recommend pairings from their wine selection.... More
