This was such a fun experience. Tim, the owner, was informative and funny. The chocolate tasting was really great. We must have tried at least a dozen different varieties. And making a personalized bar to bring home was the icing on the cake. I highly...recommend this delightful experience!More

What delightful journey through the making chocolate! Creo owner/chocolate master provides a fascinating (and witty) glimpse into growing and harvesting cacao, then converting it into delectable chocolate treats. The samples are many and delicious. A high point is making your own chocolate bar with Creo...73% dark chocolate using an amazing array of toppings and spices. It’s a fun must-do in Portland!! Maybe even 2,3 or more times:-)More

We went for the tour and they are generous with their samples. We loved making our own bars and learning about Creo. The tour guide and owner, Tim, had a great sense of humor. I learned a lot about the process of making chocolate. The...chocolate is so yummy too. We will definitely go back!More

Really enjoyed this tour and tasting together with my 11 year old. She was inspired to try flavors that she has never attempted at home--surprising us both! We learned a ton about the chocolate making process and enjoyed our time with Tim. The chocolate is...outstanding, and it is very fun to walk a way with a fancy packaged bar of your own delicious creation.More

WE went for a 1.5 hour "tour" of the art of making chocolate and enjoyed every minute. Informative, enjoyable, I highly recommend going, especially as we each came home with a signature chocolate bar that we designed ourselves! A great gift for birthdays at any...age; any occasion, really.More

This is a wonderful, boutique chocolate shop and factory with delicious, ethically sourced chocolate. We have shopped there for gifts and taken the tour where you get to make your own custom chocolate bar. So yummy, and so much fun!

The tour was more of a class, since there's not much to tour in such a small place. But Tim was very informative and friendly, and the chocolate was fantastic. I also really enjoyed talking to the woman at the shop counter (I'm so sorry,...but I've forgotten her name). I'll definitely be back!More

The chocolate tour was very interesting. Learned a lot about where chocolate is grown and the process it takes to go from pods to bar. There were lots of different flavors of chocolates to try, many we never thought we would like but were really...good. Bonus, you get to make your own bar with whatever toppings you want. Would recommend to everyone visiting as a “must do” activity.More

The tour was wonderful. It included lots of information about how chocolate is made. The guide was friendly, knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. There was lots of opportunity to taste various chocolates and making a bar was fun. Their chocolate they make...is delicious and better than any chocolate that I’ve ever tasted. My partner & I were visiting Portland and booked a slot on the tour when I was searching out things to do. The tour wasn't so much of a tour as much of a presentation on the history of the company, their practices, and an...overview how the chocolate is made. But as they are a small family operation, their "factory" is their store it is a factory tour (I think some people on other reviews just miss that fact), just make sure to set your expectations appropriately that you're not going to be wandering around machines. There are lots of tasting of their various types of bars (though do wish the pieces were a little bigger!). And You do build your own bar to takeaway which is basically picking your add-on toppings to put on the bar, but it's still fun and a cute thing to come away with. It's a very friendly place with a lot sassy humor. If you have some extra time to spare around Portland, it's a fun thing to do for something different and not much money.More
