Great atmosphere, outstanding service and amazing food. I was there with two other friends, first we shared a couple of delicious starters and then we had a main dish each. I went for the lamb shank and it was just excellent. If I'm ever back in Portland this restaurant will be an absolute must.

We didn't stop in for dinner, but the happy hour that was advertized certainly didn't live up to what we expected. The seating area in the bar was sparse, the food offerings were miniscule, over priced and the atmosphere non-existent. We had a single drink and one food order and split to pursue other venues. I would hope the standard... More

Every time I'm in PDX Clyde Common is a must do. The food is fantastic and the restaurant and staff are welcoming no matter how busy. Whether it's a late night cocktail, dinner or happy hour I always find a way here.

If cocktails are your thing, you cannot bypass Clyde Common, which produces some of the most excellent and innovative combinations including pioneering barrel ageing for negronis. If that wasn't reason enough to pull up bar stool, the food is sensational, fresh, local, interesting and a perfect compliment to either go with your cocktail array, or for a more serious nosh... The restaurant is very noisy and our request to be seated up stairs was not eagerly granted. The waiter suggested sharing dishes. Not only were the portions small but also not very tasty. The first wine we ordered was "corked." The popcorn was the best thing we ordered. The waiter seemed impatient in answering questions about the menu. Wouldn't recommend.

Having researched some dinner options in this city of many options, we were underwhelmed by the atmosphere and food. Everything was average at best. Skip it.

Had a group dinner here. Loved the menu - modern dishes with good variety. Had the trout - yummy - and the white cake - delicious. Also loved the drink menu. Staff was friendly and approachable. Reminded me of fun SF restaurants.

VERY DISAPPOINTED... Had the House Sausage, dry and over cooked. The Pepper and Eggplant dish was bland, not even a hint of spiciness. The beer was flat and overpriced. Service was marginal at best.... Definitely not going back.

I visited Clyde Common three times during the course of a three week vacation in the U.S., of which I spent six days in San Fransisco. This is very telling of the degree to which I dig this place. Baba O'riley by The Who blasts out over the speakers as we walk in! I am prone to believe that I... More
