As a fan of dark roast I really wanted to try Stumptown, and I wasn't disappointed. Very rich and smooth coffee with no bitterness, at a reasonable price.

Not a bad coffee shop… the lady who took care of my order was friendly. They offer all the typical coffee and espresso drinks, as well as pastries. My coffee was actually pretty good.

The croissants were quite good but they ran out of food by 9am. Both cappuccinos were very strong with a nice cream flower on top. Friendly service.

I had high hopes for Stumptown Coffee Roasters. I've bought their coffee at the local grocery store, and I really liked it. The reason for the 3 stars is because how can a coffee roaster not offer a cup of coffee. I'm not an Americano...fan, but I got this because they didn't have a simple cup of coffee. Please, please, make coffee for the people that don't want a fancy drink and just want to enjoy a cup of good coffee.More

A nice, simple but big place. We got a couple of Lattes and sat around playing cars for awhile. Plenty of light. Good spot!

While the records aren't my taste, and it was a little too loud, it was an interesting touch for a coffee shop. Parking is super limited- as in 2 metered spots out front. There isn't a lot of seating. Staff was friendly. I ordered an...iced drink (rose something). It was tasty.I stopped because it was on my "Portland Foodie" list. Would I go back? Eh, one and done.More

Open on Thanksgiving. Enjoyed the chai tea and banana bread. No parking. Limited seating. Better for grab and go.

Nice large place. Quick and friendly service. I got the nitro cold brew which was decent but a little too sweet in my opinion.

Stopped by Portland on our way to Crater Lake and visited this place for coffee, was a bit disappointed...the aroma is fine but I found the coffee to be a bit weak in taste and watered down.

Not sure why this place is TA's #1 in Portland. Maybe it really connects with hipsters and such? I visited on a business trip in 2019 because of all the high marks. However, I was a bit disappointed. The interior is reasonably nice for downtown,...but not exceptional. I ordered a 12 oz coffee. By the time I got thru the line to pay for it, it was lukewarm. Thankfully the management gave me a credit to use next time I'm in the area. The coffee is pretty good - better than Starbucks - but not worth $3 a cup to me. There are no disposable stir sticks for your cream & sugar - just a spoon that is re-used - something I've never seen before. I guess these folks are really environmentalist here. The only standout thing I could see is that the baristas were friendlier than average and there is more of a social atmosphere - like talking to strangers is a little easier. But it also seems like a more fringey/street crowd which feels less safe, especially if you have kids. Maybe it's just personal preference, but I'd say there are nicer/homier cafes in the area, such as Jim & Patty's in Beaverton.More
