Went to lunch w/ my father-in-law to celebrate an important day for him. We were greeted with a luke warm affect by their greeter / hostess. Place was not super busy. Seated on the patio which was a nice setting. Waitress was very warm and welcoming. Ordered beer and sandwiches. The beer was nothing to write home about- average taste... More

Stopped for a late lunch, pretty quiet except for the vacuuming of the carpets being done. Bartender stared at our lunch in the window as she put glassware away, then started washing dishes while our lunch got cold. My street tacos should be renamed gutter tacos. I do not posting poor reviews but this place deserves it. Didn't like the... More

I've never even seen, let alone tasted, deep-fried shitake mushrooms, but loved those at Gilgamesh. The batter was just right and the ranch sauce okay -- make sure you ask for a side of aioli to dip yours in. We also got a couple of salads. I loved the cobb, but my friend's spinach salad was "over-dressed." Ask for your... More

There were four of us who met here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Because it was a sunny day we chose to sit on the patio. It is enclosed now but will be open when the weather is warmer. The other couple ordered a 'flight' of samples to try some of the beers. Our order was taken quickly and... More

My husband and I went for lunch today. The atmosphere was really nice inside we loved it. We got our drinks pretty quick and our order in. I got the mushroom burger and fries. The burger was good it had a good flavor and bun but the patty itself was a little cold. The fries were so good! They give... More

Had beer and lunch with friends. Unfortunately, no "Terry Porter" beer available, but plenty of other selections. Had the classic hamburger with took care of lunch and, later, dinner at home. Easy place to sit and talk with friends. Enclosed patio for cooler weather and open patio for warmer weather. One of the places I like the best in Salem.

The food here is away above normal bar food, the steak I had was done perfectly, and was a very good portion, the potatoes were done all the way through, as were the veggies. My wife had the meatloaf and said that that was one of the best she has ever had, so we give it 5 stars and will... More

This was our second time to visit this brewery/restaurant. The food was marginally good and the service was poor. The first time we had a small group and the service seemed better. I have a hard time recommending this place for anything other than a beer.

This spacious rustic space houses a very fine brewery which serves the standard pub fare such as burgers, fries, salads and soups. My husband enjoyed a holiday ale and a blueberry wheat, notable for is subtlety. They respected that they are brewing beer, not alcoholic kool-aid. The service is friendly and the atmosphere laid back. Prices are in the mid-range... More

My review is mixed. We went to Gilgamesh for our office holiday dinner last night, Salem wasn't the closest place and some of us drove an hour to get there. There were 14 of us. Our waitress was AMAZING and impressed us all. The beverages were all great too. The problem was the food service out of the kitchen. Some... More
