Stopped by here for breakfast while camping. It's a dark hole in the wall, kind of a local hang out. Service was average, food was average ...except for the bacon. The bacon was absolutely delicious. I may stop in here for a few pieces to go the next time I'm in the area.

Visited The Flounder Inn on the first NFL football Thursday night (Great job, Denver Broncos! ). Ordered the four piece chicken special. The order was placed at halftime, and we received it during the last four minutes of the game. The chicken was burned and tasted like it had been fried in old oil. Disappointing. The server was friendly, however.

From the outside it looks like a dive bar and it kind of is, but the chicken wings are amazing. They should really market them.

This place has an old broaster (Henny Penny) that they have kept running for years and it makes a HUGE difference in the fried chicken. I originally had the buffalo wings when we stopped in for a quick lunch and beer while doing laundry on vacation August 2016. I was amazed at how crisp they were and how juicy. Husband... More

I want to advise you against going to this place. It was dark and dingy. There were no other people eating which I admit should have been a clue but we were hungry. The waitress was run off her feet slinging beer to obvious locals. My clam chowder was tepid, not hot and it was pasty. My husband's hamburger steak... More

Be very careful using your credit card here. They double charged a pending fee on my credit card for food and drink. It is ten days later and one charge has gone through while the other is still pending, tying up my money so I can't use it. There is no reason for them to have charged my twice. I... More

My wife and I are ardent Manchester United supporters and whilst on vacation in Waldport Oregon recently we found ourselves battling to find a premises to watch the FA Cup Final due to the time difference. By chance we stumbled across the Flounder Inn and when we put our conundrum to Phil the Manager of the a flounder he immediately... More

I've been here a few times and I'm never impressed. It is a bar that serves food. I would not take a family here as there tends to be loud drunken people hanging out. The food has never impressed me and I've tried it more than once. I'd rather drive down to Yachats or up to Newport.

Good food and friendly people. Try the deep fried chicken and salad bar. Their fish or burgers are good too.

This is a typical dive bar, but with excellent food! Very reasonably priced. The best broasted chicken & fresh seafood when available. 14 taps available with mostly Oregon brewed beers. The Wolf Tree is literally brewed within 10 miles of the Establishment. Karaoke twice a week. Poker machines. Multiple tv's & a great smoke room for those who smoke. The... More
