Located at Beach Front in Sandy Ground, Anguilla, Barrel Stay Beach Front Restaurant is one of Anguilla's longest serving and best fine-dining restaurants. We are world renown for our most appetizing menu, exquisite wine collection, perfect ambience and five star customer service. We value our customers. Reservations are recommended. Gift card and takeout services available. Open 6:00pm to 9:30pm, Monday to Saturday. Closed on Sundays.

Exceptional service and food. Everyone was so nice from the time we got there. We got a bottle of the house rose’ , which was very good and a couple of appetizers and settled in on their deck overlooking the harbor. What was really nice was that we felt unrushed. They allowed us to linger over our food and wine at our own pace; checking in when needed and letting us enjoy the experience. When you come to Anguilla, go to Barrel Stay and enjoy the delicious food and stunning atmosphere,

New Owner New Chef New Experiences🤗

I have been to many places on my island for dinner but nothing compares to eating at an establishment that makes you feel like family. The New owner and the New Head Chef Annette, have created an atmosphere of pure bliss for their customers. The food is amazing, drinks on point and the service/personalities are amazing. If you are looking for a place to enjoy the sunset, a nice comforting meal and be served by professional and entertaining staff then Barrel Stay is the place to be. Barrel Stay should be a must visit for all guests and locals, who want to experience a locally owned Restaurant serving up smiles and memories to last a lifetime.

We enjoyed our first meal and the "new" Barrel Stay and it was fabulous. Beautiful space, nicely uplifted. The staff was great and when you're told the roasted corn salad is "amazing" you should listen; it was amazing. Of course the fish was fresh and wonderfully prepared. We had just a great meal and wish the new team great success.

Beautiful setting and yummy food

Beautiful waterfront setting with sunset views that cant be beat. We sat right on the waterfront and enjoyed the view and watching the boats in the harbor. The service was extremely friendly and attentive. We had a very nice bottle of Rose, along with a few appetizers and a basket of their yummy bread topped with tomato and herbs ( you will want seconds of that!) . The wine list has a nice selection. We had the house Rose, which was very good.

A Pleasant Surprise

My wife and I had dinner at Barrel Stay on 3/7/2022 We were pleasantly surprised with how delicious our meals were and the excellent level of service. The menu had many great dishes to choose from. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was very nice. Our table was on the edge of the deck less than 100 feet from the water under a moonlit night. We will be returning to Barrel Stay. .Anguilla now has another great restaurant to chose from

New and improved!

We just returned home from another fantastic vacation in Anguilla. We'd heard good things about Barrell Stay since its reopening under new ownership and we decided to have dinner there on our last night in paradise. It had been many years since we'd eaten at the original restaurant. We were so glad we gave it another try. It was an overcast evening, but the welcoming greeting from Marsha and the lively banter from Jerrell started our evening off with a smile and more than made up for missing the sunset. From the surf & turf to the rib eye steak to the pasta and desserts, everything was cooked to perfection. (My wife is a steak snob and gave the ribeye 5 stars!) Everyday Jerrell makes a special drink -- be sure you ask him for it. Chef Annette came out after dinner to speak to us. She was a delight! the new If you have the chance, have dinner at the new Barrell Stay. You will not be disappointed!

Wonderful people

My husband found great reviews on TA for Barrel Stay, so we thought we’d give it a try. Tucked back in Sandy Ground, we were first to arrive at 1815 for our 1830 reservation - we were given our choice of seats , so we chose the patio with a beautiful view of the harbor. The mosquitoes kicked up a little bit, and our server, Shamita offered some bug spray which was helpful. The bugs soon disappeared! I enjoyed a Margarita, while we awaited our meals. I requested the beach surf and turf which was a grilled half lobster and a beautifully cooked filet mignon, -so much that I needed to share - my husband enjoyed the Mahi Mahi special. Very nice evening!

Disappointing!

We arrived for our 6:30 reservation and in spite of being the only people there, there was no place to park. We had to park on the side of the road. We were shown to our table and the seats were wet (it wasn’t raining) and instead of drying them off they just said to pick another table. Well, all of the seats were wet so we had no choice but to just sit. We asked for the wine list and ordered a bottle of wine, but we’re were told that while they could serve it by the glass, they couldn’t provide us with a bottle. It was listed as an option on the wine list. We were never given the specials and only knew that they had specials when we heard them told to another table. At about 7pm a small bus arrived and the tables filled up. I have no idea where it came from. Anyway, the roasted corn appetizer was straight from a can. I had the filet mignon and it was good. My husband had the duck and it was just okay. I ordered a mojito half way through dinner that never came. We told them to cancel when they cleared our dinner dishes. We weren’t offered dessert but by that point we were just happy to get the check and leave. Skip this place. It was an odd experience and not worth it.

Romantic Beachfront Dining!

This was our first time to Barrel Stay and it did not disappoint. The island was a little slow while we were there and we happened to be the only diners in the restaurant and we had so much fun! We were waited on by Jerel who sang along with us and had us laughing. Our dinner was amazing as well. He had the whole snapper that was deboned in the center and filled with a hash of potato, shrimp, and peppers. It was fabulous!!!!! I had the grilled red snapper filet and it was excellent as well. We had a nice bottle of Chardonnay and we laugh because it was $60.80! We asked Jerel who came up with the .80???? I would definitely go back to Barrel Stay on my next visit.

Fabulous food, wonderful staff

We have just had dinner at this lovely restaurant and can only say it was excellent in every way. I had the Duck Duck Goose which was cooked perfectly and served with yummy fat potato sticks! We were a party of 4 and everyone loved their meal. We shared a creme brûlée, as we were all full, but wanted to try a dessert. It was fantastic! Everyone is so friendly and welcoming and the chef is very talented indeed. I think it's a new team running this restaurant now, and they deserve to do really well. Give it a try - you won't be disappointed.

Delicious dinner

We dined at Barrel Stay the first night of our vacation. We had Crayfish and Lobster, a delicious corn salad and coconut rice. The bread was very creative with a sauce and thyme. We came back another night it was so delicious. there are new owners, Annette is the chef/owner. Tonight we tried the fried calamari which was incredible. Delicious lobster snd crayfish again. Dessert was a cookie with chocolate inside topped with rum and vanilla ice cream. So good. The waiter Jorel is great and fun to talk to. Loved the background music. The view looking out to the water makes the night romantic. We will be back.

Hidden Gem in Anguilla’s Culinary Scene

We discovered Barrel Stay as a happy accident on our last evening in Anguilla this past August. The pictures on their website lured us in, and we were not disappointed! Anette and her wonderful staff made our last evening on the island so memorable with her amazing food and warm, friendly atmosphere. The lobster and the Notre Dame snapper- melt in your mouth creations and swoon worthy presentations. But her desserts… just wow! Anette started as a classically trained pastry chef so she knows how to work her magic with the sweets. From what we can tell, the restaurant and its menu have completely flourished since she recently took over the establishment. We know all this because she was kind enough to talk with us and check in at the end of our meal. Barrel Stay should definitely be on your list as a restaurant to visit while in Anguilla. Loved everything about it and loved that we found a woman-owned, woman-run restaurant with a female executive chef all rolled into one with Anette and Barrel Stay!

Best Mahi Mahi on the island

So glad Barrel Stay has reopened! I have ordered simply grilled Mahi Mahi at two other restaurants than turned out dry and unremarkable. Barrel Stay's was absolutely delicious - highly recommend! It was a sub for Lobster that was unavailable. Fantastic service, drinks and food!

An absolute MUST VISIT!

If I could give more stars I would! In addition to an incredible meal there were multiple special touches throughout the night. From personalized drinks to the chef making a point to come out at the end of our meal, we had a lovely experience. We’ve been coming to Anguilla for 18 years and would confidently recommend Barrel Stay as a must try restaurant to anyone!

Barrel Stay Anguilla do not miss this Gem

Went for dinner at Barrel Stay and was very impressed. The food was excellent and they made a chicken pasta for my husband even though it was not on the menu. Jerrel was the consummate host, his engaging chat and attention was delightful. We had missed going here several years ago, then it closed and was taken over by the current people and it is wonderful, situated in Sandy Ground, a welcome change from the usual restaurants, beautiful spot, looking out to the boats and hearing the waves lapping at the beach. Can’t wait to re-visit.
