We were tempted to take the short drive off the PA Turnpike exit to visit this historic structure and sample the food because of some rave reviews. They did not quite meet our expectations. While the ambiance is certainly historic, the meal will not be...More

Stopped in for lunch on our way back home. Neat old colonial building built in the 1700s. Food and service were both good. I had the Asian salmon salad which I thoroughly enjoyed. My wife really liked her reuben special, which came on home made...More

I am sorry you did not enjoy your visit. The Dining Room has a hostess that seats you but it sounds like you ate in the tavern which is first come first serve. You can pick your seat either inside or out and then we...More

We picked this restaurant bc trip advisor said it was #2 in gluten free menus. Unfortunately, our waitress was totally clueless; stating something was gluten free, until we questioned her. Meals were not prepared the way we asked, and she acknowledged that it wasn't, but...More

Ate in the tavern, not the dining room. Interesting historic property in a nice country setting. Very clean and well-kept. Good choice of beer on tap. Food was OK (cheesesteak and onion rings were very tasty, the crab cake sandwich was disappointing) and a bit...More

I don't remember a children's menu either but I would agree that the restaurant is very accommodating. I also think this kind of restaurant would appeal to children because of the garden and the goat.
