This quaint restaurant is so worth a stop. Stopped in on a snowy day and was promptly seated near the large fireplace. I must say it was a bit romantic even for a couple that has been married 44 years. We both ordered the pork tenderloin with squash soup and bourbon sweet potatoes. Delicious!!! Our waitress, Trisha could not have... More

Place is a 1760 historic landmark. It is said George Washington's troops camped outside of the building onward to putting down a whiskey rebellion insurrection. With the huge fireplace, it looks like something settlers would visit on their journey west. Lots of history during all the years from 1760 on. Food served to our group was excellent. Only negative comment... More

We have dined here on several occasions, all without a complaint. The restaurant is on first floor, the tavern on second floor and the inn on floor three. The fireplaces are delightful on a cold winter evening, while the outdoor deck is generally busy on warm summer days. The tavern is rather quaint and cozy. The stone walls, the exposed... More

Saw this place on the Bedford Springs website as a close restaurant. We decided to stop by and we're amazed by the history of the building. The staff was very nice and we sat by the old fireplace for the house. The French dip was very good but wished it was a little fuller with meat and cake with a... More

Visited here on a Friday evening after passing it on the Turnpike for many years. Chose to eat in the Tavern and after asking the bar tender if we should seat ourselves, we did. Unfortunately, after sitting and waiting for any service for 30 minutes we decided to leave. I still don't know if the place is any good. :(

I am so sorry that you had this experience. It is not typical, and obviously not acceptable. Our tables are all assigned to a specific server who is responsible for taking care of the guests who sit there. I would be appreciative if you would be willing to contact the restaurant and ask for Melissa so that I can get... More

This is a great place. Stop in the gift shop, lots of unique things & reasonable prices. We had dinner. Everything was excellent. We had 2 chicken dishes & prime rib. The carrot & coconut cake is out of this world. Charming atmosphere. Will definitely come back to stay here at the inn & visit the herb gardens & goats.... More

The wait staff was extremely knowledgable about there local beers and were very friendly. It obvious that that this place is packed with locals and travellers. The only complaint is that the service was slow and attribute that... More

Do you ever wonder when you are in a historical building , who lived here? Who ate here? I wondered those questions when we ate here recently. The atmosphere makes you think about those things. The food was very good and appealing.

We were in the area and my wife had heard about this place so we gave it a try. First, there is upstairs and downstairs. Upstairs is basically a bar setting...downstairs is the dining room experience. If you want downstairs you should reserve well in advance...we couldn't get a res within 3 hours. It was kind of organized chaos to... More

Stopped here b/c of reviews on TA. Glad we did! Our food was excellent. I ordered the crab cake sandwich and a salad. Delicious! The house French dressing was so good! My hubby ordered the turkey club and French Onion soup. We shared an order of fries. Everything he ordered got a thumbs up! We would definitely stop by here... More
