A surprisingly busy place. Food was good but Kate couldn't stop raving about the freshly made tomato soup. The burger was good as were the fries. Didn't think much of the onion rings or the eggplant. Would eat here again if we were in the area.

Ordered a salad, and the spaghetti with meat balls. Salad was ok, but spaghetti was over cooked and tasteless. Fast friendly service, but the food is lacking in quality and flavor. If you don't know good Italian food then this would work for you.

Ate at Armstrong's once, after being referred by hotel staff. I ordered a steak salad and have to admit it was a huge salad but it certainly wasn't the best salad I've ever had. My steak was not cooked "well" as requested which made it difficult for me to eat. There were so many many items on the menu, I'm... More

This is a small little restaurant in a strip mall. It looks very unassuming even when you walk in. We beat the rush and came in around 5:00 which was a good thing because when we left there was standing room only in the lobby. The waitress was very nice and recommended a few things. The food was fresh, very... More

BYOB. Very fresh food. Wedding soup is very good. So is the coke slaw. Only complaint was too many butter on the fish dishes that were ordered. The veal parmesan is huge and delicious. We took home the bread and it was great toasted the next morning.

Around 1965, a "card-playing-rummy" group of 4 couples from Mt. Lebanon, would have dinners, almost monthly at, Armstrong's,a small Italian restaurant/bar on top of Mt. Washington. It's 5 or 6 tables would always be filled, as well as the bar, with diners waiting for a table! It's move to Castle Shannon, which my wife and I also visited, was "relatively"... More

I have eaten here twice (this location) and the food is always prepared right, and service good. The place is clean and the the choices on the menu are many! Go! Enjoy!

My favorite is their Rueben sandwich. Generous portion. Eat half, and have the other half later. Great atmosphere, clean, and very friendly staff. They have a location in Bridgeville on Washington Pike with a limited menu, but you really can't eat there. Also there is a location in Caste Village; as well as their location in Moon Township.

While very traditional, the food does not disappoint, good flavors and good service come standard. One thing I noticed, is that older people (60's and 70's) seem to really frequent this place during lunch time. Appeals to a wide range of folks! Was a very delightful lunch, and will be back. Th wedding soup was particularly good.

Have eaten here numerous times, food is good and a good value for the money. They are busy a lot, good sign of good food.
