We walked in at 1230 for lunch on a Thursday. The place was empty! Wasn't sure if they were open but we heard people in the back so we took a seat at one of the mis-matched tables. After waiting for almost 15 mins. I was getting up to check the kitchen for a server & she came out..... dirty... More

We had breakfast here actually several years ago (this interface doesn't go back that far), and we kind of put off by the smell of stale cigarette smoke and beer from the bar area. There's a real mix of clientele here, too. I've seen them lately fixing up the outside, so maybe that's improving things. I hope the food improves,... More

Everyone seems to think that we are affiliated with Stemie's 1818. Please do not be fooled! We are the Original Stemie's, dating back to 1985. We are the ONLY establishment on National Television with three shows regarding our infamous ghosts. Our food is prepared fresh every day with ingredients from local farmers and our staff is fabulous. We have a... More

The outside may not be very inviting, but the owner, Al and his staff have ALWAYS been friendly. Food is good and hot every time. Always an enjoyable stop for breakfast, lunch and dinner....

Was referred to Stemie’s 1818 Tavern by hotel desk clerk when I asked for a non chain restaurant where I could take wife, granddaughter, and her friend. Be forewarned they do not take reservations and it is somewhat small inside. However, on a Friday night we did not have to wait at all but there were people waiting when we... More

They have 35 martinis. There's a fan club for them! They serve local growers' food. The English burger is top notch. The appetizers are huge. The soups are homemade. YUM YUM YUM! The restaurant itself is adorable. Every seat is a good one. Every server and bartender are great. Highly recommend, but bring your wallet.

We were recommended here by the staff at our hotel, and we left unimpressed. Menu selection was not impressive and we settled on burgers which we okay. Fries though were really good. Restaurant is located in an old tavern, impressive old stone fireplace. Seating is tight and is loud from the crowd around the bar. Service was adequate.

All their meat is from the butcher down the street, how do you beat that?
