I have enjoyed the food but the kitchen was off tonight. The pork loin was over cooked. The baked potato was over cooked. The vegetables were over cooked. For these prices things should be spot-on!

My 1st visit since they rebuilt after a devastating fire a few years ago. Fairly easy to get to off I-83, just follow the signs. The restaurant/bar is clean inside and out, the staff friendly, service prompt. Our waitress knew the menu well enough to offer suggestions. Food was delivered in a reasonable amount of time and the price reasonable.... More

Any time we go here we either have an so-so experience or a terrible one. Service is the factor every single time. We are always waiting and waiting when the restaurant is barley full during lunch. If you question why you are waiting 45 minutes for a sandwich and fries, you get attitude or excuses. We stopped going after our... More

Good food, good, fast service, decent beer list, lots of TV's this is what you would want from a sports oriented bar.

The bar tender wanted it on her terms. Several times she came to wait on us when one was on a phone and if we were not ready she made us wait a long time before she came back. We could see her talking to other staff but she was not interested in her customers.

We've been to the Hillside a couple of times since the fire and so far have been pleasantly surprised by our experiences. Not that the food or service was bad before, it just seems that since the reopening Hillside has upped the ante. The food is very good and the portions are large (order the peanut butter pie, for example).... More

Last minute pick.... visited this past Sunday evening. Pleasantly surprised. Sports bar atmosphere in bar area... but there are a 2 separate areas if you prefer that. We, two couples, sat in bar area... lots of booths and high top tables. We all had some variations of steak and crab. All rate outstanding. Our waiter, Jake, was attentive beyond expectations.... I have been to the Hillside on numerous occasions since it was reopened after the fire. Whenever I get a steak, the meal is good, but the past several meals I have ordered different seafood meals and in all cases, the quality was very poor and yet the cost was quite high. For the price, I feel a higher quality... More

On our way home from an overnight in Lancaster, PA, Ben and Mrs Too made a short detour north to Hillside Café for lunch. Happily, this particular phoenix is fully risen from its ashes and is thriving perhaps as never before, at least for weekday lunch business. Ben and Mrs Too felt we were seeing more suited groups of three... More
