Have stopped in here a few times for breakfast and lunch. Prices are great and the food is not only fresh but tastes home made. Make sure to get there before 11 if you want certain breakfast foods, since they don't serve them all day. I went for a late brunch one time and had to settle for lunch instead... More

This small very casual restaurant in the middle of Fairfield is a gem. The decor is a little quirky (framed pages from old Dick and Jane primers on the walls, with tables and chairs and stools at a counter from a 1950s soda fountain), the staff is local and friendly and helpful. The food is good, simple comfort food. The... More

If you are looking for breakfast or lunch while in Fairfield, you really don't have to look any further than the Book and Table Restaurant. Shelly has been running Fairfield's best diner for decades and she has the formula down. Everything on the menu is reasonably priced and the breakfast specials are a steal. I often go with the Delmonico... More

The locals are greeted by the staff as family. The decor is out of the 50's & 60's. We felt so comfortable and the food was basic but good. I am surprised it took us 3 years to visit this place. We will be back.

Quaint little local restaurant with all homemade food! We always see someone we know and the food is delicious! Staff is great and the owner even makes little cut outs of animals for my son's pancakes.

My husband and I decided to stop here for breakfast after reading reviews here on tripadvisor. We were not disappointed. Our breakfast was delicious (the blueberry pancakes and home fries were great!) and the atmosphere was perfect. If you like local, homey restaurants and good food you should definitely give Village Book & Table a try.

Village Book and Table is all that is wonderful about small town America. If you are coming to this region to visit Gettysburg or hit the slopes and want a slice of USA, do come here! The restaurant is very small - like 10 tables or so and a counter and decorated like you would expect a small town place... More

I have been going here since I was a child. It's small, but the food is big.You will not leave hungry. For me, it's like going back in time.

This is a great little spot at which to fuel up prior to hitting the slopes down the road at Liberty. The food is good country cooking that provides large portions at very reasonable prices. The omelet's and blueberry pancakes are both wonderful. Very attentive and friendly staff. Great old soda fountain and chrome bar stools add to the character.
