Charming restaurant next to Boccaccio’ house in Certaldo Alto . Sat outside. Delicious bruschetta to start then home made gnocchi with pesto served in an authentic saucepan. Good service and good local wine. Cute ginger cat inside !

Small typical restaurant in the main street of the medieval village. Only (few) tables outside, due to Covid (suggested to book in advance). Typical Tuscany kitchen: bruschetta, "pici all’aglione". Quick service. Nice presentation and very good quality of the dishes. Low-average price.
The food here is the best I had in Italy, the pici Casa tua was to die for! The service was also great and had I been in Certaldo longer I absolutely would have returned here for a second helping!
We popped in here late at night hoping for a drink, and loved the quirkiness of the place. The service was relaxed and friendly, and not a single glass was matching - but all were really cool. You are encouraged to add to the colourful...graffiti on the walls, and just chill out with other happy, relaxed people.More
We were here two times and it was the best thing on our vacation. Very good and delicious food (don’t miss the antipasti and the gnocchi with pesto!) Had a really good time here. (But look at the opening hours, before you make your way...up the hill) 😉More
Okay cool small place if you are to traditional Italian meals. Not expensive and no negative thing to say. Most properly we get back another day. Average to great experience.
Certaldo is a beautiful place in Italy (Actually, this restaurant is in Certaldo Alto, above the town of Certaldo, you have to take a funicular to get to it). The outdoor dining next to a stone wall was romantic and a great place to people-watch....Our servers were all very friendly, and they spoke some English, and they were patient with my horrible Italian. The food was fantastic and very fresh. The wine was super inexpensive and very good. We spent a couple of hours here, just taking our time, talking, and enjoying the great service and food. If I ever end up in this part of the world again, I will definitely return.More
We had a wonderful dinner with awesome food and great service. The price is reasonable, portions are very big (doggy bags available!) and there is a good Gluten Free and Vegetarian/Vegan selection. Strongly recommended!!
We had a fantastic lunchtime meal here. Bruchetta pomodoro and Bruchetta Toscana to start along with a portion of the dough balls. These were so good we ordered another portion (and would have had more if the place hadn't been closing). We had two pici...dishes (one pomodoro and one all'aglione) along with a panzanella. They were all extremely tasty. The staff were really helpful. We fully recommend a visit here.More
Quite a disappointment. Primi Patti are fine. The secundi Patti are not typical but are very basic and clearly made for tourists wanting simple & basic food. We expected much more based on all the reviews on TripAdvisor.... Service and location are magnificent!
Our meal was an insult to us, and an insult to food and wine. My “Pici” pasta dish was served in a small sauté pan, which was ironic because it was just poorly re-heated leftovers and the pan was cold (maybe they used a microwave?)....It was a lousy attempt at a bolognese sauce also. My wife’s ribollito was full of bread. I tried to eat my son’s tagliatelle and it was like Chef Boy-Ar-Dee garbage from a can. The staff is downright depressing as well. The wine (served by the glass in a small water tumbler) was like cooking wine poured after being left open for a month on the countertop. They said it was Chianti but I have my doubts. I sent it back and the funeral-face waiter brought me an identical glass of the same wine, without irony. Then a young lady at the next table fell to the floor when her chair toppled. I looked over and it was clear why: the chair was missing an important piece! I told the waiter in great seriousness (in Italian) that the chair was unsuitable for customers. He put it at another table and went on with his somber evening. This is honestly the worst restaurant I’ve eaten at for at least the past year. Do yourself a favor and skip it.More
Nice ambience and good food. Try pici all’aglione or pici casa tua. Drink the sangiovese house wine and enjoy the laid back and young atmosphere.
Exiting decorations with all names etc on the walls - small tables -the chair are not too comfortable - dishes are the collection so the only the coffee cups where same for everyone. Food was decent - nothing spectacular from taste. Interesting place to see!
Eat here recently on the advice of the owner of the agriturismo I was staying at! Would definitely recommend this restaurant. Fantastic food, friendly and efficient service! We sat outside and it was very romantic. Will definitely return on our next visit to Tuscany :-)
We returned here after a five year hiatus and the meal didn't disappoint. We sat outside and again enjoyed the pasta served in fry-pans. Our names were still written on the walls from the last time we were there and the staff make you feel...like you are a regular. Recommend the drive, or the funicular, up to Certaldo Alto for a great meal.More
