This is a good restaurant. Staff are all very helpful and friendly always do their best to keep the customer happy. Very clean and food excellent. Service quick. Place itself is bright and airy. Visit here when we out shopping if only for a coffee as it is very well priced and good.

Popped in at the start of our day out walking for a coffee and toast. Beautiful old converted chapel, coffee excellent value for money. Very nice toast with butter and jam and incredibly cheap. Really enjoyable and set us up until lunch time. Would recommend.

Didn't even get a drink. Bar person much too busy moving glasses off the bar, to serve customers. Actually finished serving the chap in front of me, then walked away. Very rude. Wont go back anytime soon

I was staying at The Waterfront Hotel recently and I took the opportunity to go and find The Richard Oastler. I found it at the bottom of the street and it took me all of five minutes to walk there. I took a step inside and immediately saw the ceiling. I saw an amazing upstairs gallery of seating and the... More

I went here for curry night on a visit with friends and it's your standard spoons, good beer, food at decent value. The building is lovely too, if you're passing it worth it just to take a look at the ceilings

I have been coming here for a long time but it has seriously gone down hill over the past few years. If you want to get served on a weekend then you had best set off on Thursday morning. Whilst the kitchen service is good, the bar staff can be compared to that of snails.

Thank Jake B
