The food was very good. The price excellent. The service was the only thing lacking. It wasn't as busy as we thought it would be due to the royal wedding happening. Maybe the staff were watching it. We had to go to the bar to...More

Our first visit to this pub/restaurant last Thursday night was well worth the one hour drive. The friendly greeting as soon as the four of us walked in (all too rare these days) set the mood for a very enjoyable evening in a picturesque setting....More

Set meal three courses for £15.00 might seem like a good deal but its overpriced for what you get. Duo pate with rustic bread, big plate look good but its just too much food as a starter and the liver pate was watery and bitter....More

We visited the Hare and Hounds after a super day out at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. This pub used to be independent but now is a member of the Vintage Inn chain. It is now a mediocre menu with all the fast food favourites dressed...More

Visited here for a birthday party. Surroundings very nice. Service very attentive. Food was nice although I did think a little over priced for the small portion size of both starters and mains. Similarly drinks were also a tad pricey. A large white wine and...More

Hi Linsey, Thank you for leaving those comments. I do apologise for the quality of the rump steak, I will log the issue with our supplier. Again with the wine we would have been happier to change it for a colder one for you. I...More

Live in Sheffield and called in this pub on the way home from visiting a relative. Very warm, cosy atmosphere, friendly staff and a decent meal. Loved the table by the fire 👍🏼
