We stopped here en route to the South West and decided to try the Solstice Bar and Grill for dinner. First of all, it is an attractive restaurant and doesn't really feel like a service station type restaurant (although it is attached to a hotel...More

I came here for my Dad's birthday, and I will be quite honest in saying my knowledge of it being a holiday inn, wasn't really getting me excited about the meal. I assumed I'd be going to some ordinary hotel bar and pub. How very...More

It’s 7 p.m., you want to eat something, you see a restaurant, so you go in and sit down and … Not here ! Although there were plenty of empty tables, the gate keeper did not want to let me in. I did enter, however,...More

We met with some relatives here for lunch on a Saturday. I booked although when we got there it was not busy. The food was lovely and well presented, although if you dislike your food served on a piece of wood you do need to...More

A newish place close to Stonehenge. The food was top class and the service polite and helpful. The hotel itself has great facilities although the room set-out was a little unusual because every ounce of space was utlised.

Nice restaurant with good 3 course dinner set. Reasonable price. Already really full after 2 courses but just cannot resist the dessert which was real big. Generally a very nice dinning experience.

I imagine the main users of this place are business travellers and those looking for somewhere to stay when visiting Stonehenge. Food pretty decent and staff very knowledgeable about the drinks they serve. Overall nice visit with colleagues, once for dinner and once for coffees...More

Great Networking lunch. Staff were very friendly and food was great. Good for locals but perfect for people travelling West from London.

Description
Think Salisbury and youll think Solstice not the mid-summer phenomenon beloved of druids but the super chic Bar and Grill at Amesburys uber-modern Holiday Inn hotel. Situated only moments from the world famous site of Stonehenge, Solstice is glamorously modern, its sleek interior anything but pre-historic. One wall is shot through with a blaze of glass, providing countryside views in the day and inky black reflections at night, while the rest of the room is bright and spacious, furnished in monochrome and lit by low-hanging chrome lamps. Despite its futuristic styling the atmosphere of the restaurant is cosy and welcoming, thanks in no small part to the professional and friendly staff who ensure your every need is met during your visit, be it a swift lunch or a leisurely dinner. From the elegance and ease of a continental style croissant and cappuccino in the morning to the hearty modern European mains of evening dinners and the comforting familiarity of burgers and steaks, plus the well-stocked bar with its excellent wine list and numerous beers, Solstice is a venue for any occasion.
