Excellent food and service. Impressed that they don't wait until you have a mouth full before checking all is okay. Would recommend for a special occasion as drinks are quite pricey but would recommend the Chocolate Martini. Enjoyed the cheese fondue. Looking forward to a return visit.

We went to the Bistro for an evening meal and were so impressed with the choice on the menu. We could have ordered every dish as each one was tempting. The cocktails were fabulous, the food was exceptional and cooked to perfection. The staff were friendly, attentive and very polite without being intrusive. A perfect evening. The only negative was the... More

We went along for the cinema showing of Bridge of Spies and enjoyed a splendid three course lunch beforehand. Highly recommended! Service is first class and the Sunday roast is define. Congratulations to the kitchen and restaurant staff. A great welcome and all round good experience, well done! xx

Had quite a few afternoon teas here and had relaxing days in the spa, we love Whatley Manor. So we thought we would celebrate my daughters 40th Birthday by having Sunday Lunch. The only word I can use to describe the meal was bland - was very disappointed, the Roast Beef dinner did not carry much taste and was warm... More

Le Mazot is situated within the lovely Whatley Manor Hotel. There are two restaurants in the hotel the excellent two Michelin star restaurant and the Le Mazot which is a brasserie, I am told based on a Swiss chalet. Firstly the Michelin restaurant has three 7 course tasting menus, one of them vegetarian, but no a la carte menu. So... More

Sad to say rather disappointing overall. Booked for lunch in Le Mazot and our party had a combination of the set and a la carte menus. The main courses were fine - in fact the Sea Bream was absolutely delicious. For pudding, two of us ordered the panacotta - a particular favourite of mine - but both our dishes had... More

Delightful celebration lunch with my 2 sons on the terrace in the kitchen garden. It was a beautiful summers day and the setting was divine. I chose from the set lunch menu and they both went for the a la carte. All of the courses were delicious and well presented. I would suggest that the fondu starter is only for... More

On recommendation we visited the brasserie for dinner on Friday evening. The decor should have immediately provoked alarm bells, being in a kind of strange and soulless pseudo Swiss chalet style with annoying tinkly music to emphasise the mediocrity of the venue. The food and slow service complemented the decor. Portions when they finally came were very small. We eat... More

We had a delightful family lunch in the small vegetable garden at Whatley Manor. What a treat it was. The sun shone, the set menu was reasonably priced with a couple of choices for each dish and we were spoilt for choice with seasonal and delicious sounding items to choose from. Service was very good, the food was beautifully presented... More

This was our second visit in 2 weeks and was very disappointed to find the same menu on offer. Food overpriced and choice not very inspiring. Not being a fish fan was left with steak or pork chop(which i tried last week and was fatty and tasteless) so ended up with a poor portion of tasteless gnocchi . Good job... More
