Eaten her a few times now and the food is consistently good! The homemade pate is the best I've ever had, also highly recommend the sea bass starter. My husband enjoyed the braised steak & the kids loved the fish & chips. Friendly staff, nice, cosy atmosphere, would definitely recommended!

Myself and my husband visited The Roebuck this evening after a recommendation from a friend. It is a lovely, cosy family run pub/restaurant with a wide choice of menu. Plenty of daily specials also. My husband had the daily pie , which today was Steak and stilton!! It looked amazing and I had a taste,AMAZING, good size portion too. I had... More

A couple of weeks ago we went to the Roebuck, food as ever was first class! We have been going there quite regularly over the years, and have never been disapointed. I thought it time to comment! I can thoroughly recommend their menu across the board, especially the good selection of fish dishes, usually as specials. There are usually at least three choices of... More

Booked a table for a late lunch with family and the place is great. Food was tasty and easily got enough food. Definitely good value for money. The thing that dragged it down was the fact we felt "pushed" out. We went between lunch and tea time and it was quite quiet once we were onto our main. I can... More

I have been wanting to try this place for a while since the refurb. I took my wife out for dinner here and was not disappointed. It gets 10/10 from me on ambience, service, price and food. A breath of fresh air from the now tired and predictable gastro pub formula. They have gone for a theme and stuck with... More

I don't normally write reviews but I came away from this place absolutely furious. After reading the reviews I decided to take my mum here for dinner for a Mother's Day treat, worst decision ever. We arrived to be told there was no table available as they were fully booked, fair enough that's not their fault, we should have booked... More

It had been years since we last visited the Roebuck, and as we were passing and wanted to eat out, we thought we'd give it a go. Nice cosy place with friendly staff. We were surprised to be able to get food almost all day, but apparently they have quite a few chefs. The menu is nice and varied and... More

We called in yesterday for Sunday lumch as we were in the area reminiscing, it was about 10 years since we were last there. We both chose a Sunday lunch of beef which arrived quickly and was not particularly hot or fresh We told the waiter this and that the beef was tough which was apparent by what was left... More

For my 50th Birthday I was bought a voucher for afternoon tea at the Roebuck Inn. We booked la couple of weeks ago informing them that one of the afternoon teas needed to be gluten free. We have been going to the Roebuck every now and then for over 20 years, and have never been disappointed. However after getting diagnosed... More
