Sadly, it's now closed down, it was a very small pub, with a car park. But it lacked room, it was the size of a sitting room, back in the day, it made its own beer and was a small brewery

I was in there alone while staying at the hotel up the road. The woman was friendly and helpful. I had a drink or two and a snack. I hope someone new buys it.
Lovely pub food and surroundings Lovely waitress beck was Competent and helpful I had steak sandwich an slush puppy and ice cream All was tasty hot and served on time well priced too
Stayed at the hotel up the road and called in the weatsheaf for a drink and food. Sandwich and "cheesy chips" for me and jacket potato fore the wife. All good and excellent value for money for the area. Friendly staff. No complaints!!
Visited the Weatsheaf on Sunday with my wife and had a Sunday lunch, the food from Starters to the Main were fantastic and the price was very reasonable I would recommend the pub and the food to anyone local or indeed passing through
Such a shame never been right since it was PUB OF THE YEAR back along then Jim and Heather retired such a shame was the place to be then best bar staff and more important best looked after ales in the area
I called in early on a Saturday night, the menu was not large but neither were the prices. I choose garlic mushrooms to start and a lasagne for mains. The eight mushrooms arrived fresh from the fryer, in a bowl on their own. they were...hot and tasty and worth the £3. The mains arrived a short while later, again the Lasagne fresh from the freezer, via the microwave, like wise the chips. The salad from a fridge bag. Combined they made a pleasant meal, similar to what I might have at home but for six quid I was happy not to have to wash upMore
My partner Claire and I called in here hoping to sample some decent, traditional pub food, but left feeling a little disappointed The food was deep fried and was somewhat overcooked but as we were hungry we ate it anyway . . . The pub...is ideally situated on a main road through the village and close to a nearby hotel and I'm sure if they were able to "up their game", they'd be ideally placed to make a killing but sadly on our visit, they took their eye off the ball . . Overall though, the pub is welcoming, the staff are friendly and the beer is pretty good . . I would return, but maybe "eyeball other customers food" before eating there again . . .More
One of the best Sunday dinners you could ask for. The meat is so very tender, the roasties are delicious, the veg are cooked to taste and the gravy is amazing. Very good value too.
Great for a drink and a convivial chat with friends. Food not the best however, I had a bacon roll which comprised a white tasteless roll and rather rubbery bacon. Filled a gap, pleasant staff and nice cold beer.
Great helpful bar staff, helped & catered for all your needs. Kitchen staff whom were very helpful knowledgeable & extremely polite made the visit that much better. Steak n Ale & Steak n Kidney Home made pies smelled divine, somebody else had these wish I...had now. Went for the Sunday Roast which was great value for money the portions were amazing the selection & cuts of meat were mouth watering. Struggled to finish the plate staff were only to willing to keep me happy whether it was more Gravy or Mint sauce nothing was a problem to them. Checked on me during meal to make sure everything was to my satisfaction. In all well worth a visit had to stay for an extra ping after the meal be rude not to nice selection of ales as well. Highly recommended great value good food & helpful staff in all a great experienceMore
