We were very impressed with the high quality food served. Nice atmosphere and clean and well worth the visit Recommend booking in advance as it's probably the best resturant in Boscastle.

A Thursday evening in late May we were made very welcome from the moment we entered. Drinks first in the garden (or as the bar manager said "our quarry"). Service by all staff was exemplary food choice was excellent as was the servings in respect of quality and quantity. The chunky chips are to die for! ABSOLUTELY THE BEST RESTAURANT... More

We stayed in Boscastle for 3 nights and so had breakfast there each day (included in the tariff) and also 2 evening meals. The staff were very good - friendly, professional and helpful with dietary requests - e.g decaffeinated coffee, gluten free bread, weak tea and more. The food was very tasty and we loved the breakfast space, sitting by... More

We stayed on night here and had dinner. My husband had brie and mango parcels and I had seafood chowder. For the main course we had hake topped with smoked salmon and served on a vegetable and tomato butter bean cassoulet. Firstly we were surprised at the size of the piece of hake, which was huge. Lovely place with its own private bridge over the river into a lovely beer garden. Lovely sandwiches for a leisurely lunch in the middle of walking Crackington Haven to Tintagel.

Had passed the place several times during our stay and finally decided to take the plunge on our final night. Not disappointed. Friendly staff serving quality food. We were almost the only people eating at 8.30 on a Friday evening but the place is intimate enough to cope with small numbers.

Our second visit to The Riverside Restaurant. Beautifully cooked fish dishes, I had crab lobster and prawn cocktail for a starter. It was lovely. Attentive, but not OTT service. Will definitely visit again soon.
