We visited Whitsand Bay for a week and were recommended the Finnygook for meals and it did not disappoint! We ate there on the first night of our trip and it was so good that we went back on two more occasions. It is dog friendly also and their resident pooch 'tribute' is adorable! If you are in town then... More

We popped in for lunch recently, and received a warm welcome. Dogs are admitted if you eat in the bar area. Service very good, and food deliciously cooked. Ice cream is very special!

Truly scrumptious. Great service and reasonably priced. I had the fish pie, which was delicious. Others in the party had pork ribs or monkfish. Some interesting life music to entertain us too.

After a bracing walk on the beach at Tregantle we stopped here for a glass of wine and a bite to eat....it was also my son's birthday. The pub does not look much from the outside but it has a lovely welcoming feel with an open fire, cosy surroundings and helpful staff. The food was well priced and jaw droopingly... More

Went for Sunday lunch had roast lamb which was superbly cooked, the staff were brilliant, smart, polite and very helpful. The pub is very dog friendly. The sweet was one of the biggest berry pavlova I have ever seen.

Nice welcome - arrived on a rainy/windy night to find log fire and warm bar area. Staff polite and attentive. I had fish and chips - OK had better fish - but most of our group had the fish pie - and all gave it an excellent standard. Recommend ensuring you leave enough room for the main! Other options also... More
