We visited the globe inn after reading the good reviews on here compared to the other local pubs. It had a nice cosy feel to it and was quite busy with the locals drinking. Unfortunately the food wasn't that great, I think I just made the wrong choice but the carbonara really was not good. Considering it wasn't cheap I... More

We called into the Globe as we arrived in Lostwithal two hours before we could book into the Hotel, the landlord and customers were friendly, he pointed out that he was from the local area and was glad we were from Wales. Local beer was as usual fab and we returned twice that weekend, sadly Sunday evening is dead in... More

This is a pub with real atmosphere - you enter through the bar to a warm welcome. Our 24 year old grandson works all over the country and in his opinion he has the best steaks when at The Globe in Lostwithiel..

What can we say except that if you like your beer and enjoy a cosy atmosphere then you will be happy in here. Enjoyed a nice evening and met a few locals.

We stayed at the Globe Inn for a weekend bed and breakfast break. Great place, old pub with accommodation. That have double three rooms, all have either en-suite, shower room or bathroom. The rooms are understandably quite tired, regarding decor, but are very clean and comfortable, and adequate space for a short break. Being a pub it can be a... More

We came here after a bad experience at neighbouring royal oak inn. Wow what a difference, cannot understand why this is not higher up the ratings list. Very friendly atmosphere in bar area and restaurant. Great homely decor. Fabulous menu choices and daily specials. Well worth the prices but perhaps not the cheapest place, mains average £11 each. The puddings... More

As title says Baguettes were spot on but both hot meals average at best. This was 3rd visit and other 2 could not have been more different as the food on both other occasions was very good. They were evening bookings this one was a lunch booking. On both previous visits place was rammed this time soulless.

I don't need to say too much about this restaurant food standard pub. Fabulous flavours and such friendly, helpful, professional staff. Have to return - as often as possible. Amazing casual find.

Stumbled upon The Globe by chance and were delighted by the wonderful pub, friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere. We decided to try the restaurant on the Friday evening. The food was locally sourced, fresh and beautifully presented. The Plaice was cooked perfectly and my partner had salmon which she assured me was equally excellent. Tried the Ginger Pudding with...
