It is a small and friendly pub, we stumbled on by accident. The food was excellent, reasonably priced and friendly service

Had a lovely meal while staying in mevagissey old proper pub excellent friendly service and food would highly recommend we booked in advance busy even in middle of march so I would advise booking a table rather than just turning up as space is limited

A group of 13 of us pre-booked our lunches before walking in the area. We ordered a variety of meals from sandwiches to fish and chips, fish pie etc etc. All of us loved the food - the fish pie was my choice with a good salad - very healthy option and delicious too. The atmosphere is old fashioned and... More

We had a delicious meal and found staff and other patrons very friendly. We were sorry to leave but were ready for bed. The rather odd table arrangements due to the strange shape of this ancient pub enabled conversation between tables.

This pub was our 'local' while on a long weekend break. Lovely lit fire, friendly welcomes, dog friendly (although watch the resident cat as it's got attitude). Amazing food, we had great Sunday roast, but it's best to book. Pop in, it was a real gem of a find for us.

Popped into the fountain inn for a pint. I Ended up having three pints! The beer is kept in first class condition. The staff were polite and chatty. It's a lovely building with lots of charm. Pop in for a pint or three. You won't be disappointed. I never ate there, but the food looked and smelt fabulous....

This pub is a must visit when staying in Mevagissey. Its oldy worldy charm and style and the roaring log fire is so cosy. The foods is fantastic, the cornish sole was huge!!! Its a spotlessly clean pub, with really friendly people, staff and customers a like. Also the stars of the pub, Alfie the cat and Kipper the dog!!!... More
