A restaurant that gets everything right. The food is spectacular, it looks fantastic and the taste exceeds your high expectations, having visited several times prior. The service is attentive but far from intrusive. Great wine list along with good choice of desert and port wines. The cheese board should not be missed although it is difficult given how nice the... Excellent all round! We have eaten here twice now, and can't speak highly enough of the food and service. Attention to detail is what makes this restaurant special. The food is worthy of a Michelin star, and far surpasses the local Michelin starred competition in terms both of quality and price in our opinion.

We stumbled upon this restaurant on a visit to Rock and we were delighted to find such such an attractive dinning room , lovely staff and fantastic food. Everything was beautifully presented and delicious. The amuse-bouche , a beetroot macroon was so full of flavour. The main courses were innovative. The house wine was very reasonably priced and was good.... More

This was our second outing here, just as successful, if not more than our previous visit. The food is Michelin star, without the associated price tag or fussiness. It is more than superbly-cooked food though, it is creative, with some fun touches, but really top class. There must be a quandary for this place; it could quite easily reach for... More

Went here while staying at Dormy House B&B, couldn't get a table at Mariners so thought we would pop in and try this, well bloody brilliant. Understated excellence. Food to die for, great service, well looked after. Can't recommend highly enough

Our 6th time at the dining room. Without doubt our favourite local restaurant and so close for us being based in Bodieve. The quality of the food is top notch and the best Cornwall can offer and rivals more expensive Michelin badged establishments. Keep up the good work guys :-) you're a credit. Mark & Jane.

the dining room is a very simple-decorated restaurant, no trying-too-hard-to-please service, and no too-technical unnecessary terms in the menu and very reasonably priced.. good wine lists, pretty amuse-bouche, tasty hors d'oeuvre and exquisite mains was way better than what i had in the michelin restaurant next door. Maybe a bit more improvement with their cheeseboard selection. but the rest of... More

Dinner for my wife and I in this lovely restaurant. Under normal circumstances this would have been a quiet romantic environment but a group of 20 local golfers rather prevented that being the case! Never mind; it never got too loud and boisterous and didn't detract from the food. The canapes were totally delicious and really set the tone for... More
