This has now become our favourite place to eat. Anything that we have eaten has not only tasted amazing but looked amazing too. The little salads that accompany the meals are so different and make the meal really special. The treacle tart is heavenly. The owners are always warm and welcoming. A real find that I would thoroughly recommend to... More

Well worth a visit if you're in the area - we stopped for lunch after 5-6 mile walk from Coverack. Good choice on menu, nice cafe and outside space in the sunshine was very welcome. Outstanding homemade food! - the soup & half baguette option was delicious. Both baguettes we had came with really tasty selection of salads and potato... More

Went here with my partner and daughter. On the back of reading other reviews on trip adviser we thought we would give it a try. First impressions on arrival were that maybe it would not be as good as the reviews appear as the cafe appeared quite basic inside and not lavished we fancy fixtures and fittings, although it is... Bach for the fourth time....when the previous times were great, this time it was Kind of disappointing. Of course, as the weather was nice, it was absolutely crowded. We didn´t find space for the car, When we did, we sat down to have lunch. Everything took very Long, even the Drinks, and they had run out of some meals. Anyway,... More

Unusual menu, friendly staff. Off the beaten track but good for walkers on the coast path. Certainly an experience.

Having moved to the Lizard, we keep pinching ourselves that we have such an incredible cafe in walking distance. The quality of food at the Fat Apples Cafe is extremely good and so well presented. The salads that accompany the sandwiches are delicious and they aren't even the main event on the plate. Portions will satisfy the largest appetite and... More

Found this cafe by accident on a trip to Porthallow. It was very warm and cosy and the welcome was also warm. We had the breakfast which was good and plenty of it. The coffee was also good. Lovely log burner to sit around. This is a really nice spot for breakfast or lunch. They are very child friendly which... More

We're lucky enough to live close to this wonderfully eccentric and creative cafe, just outside St Keverne on the Lizard Peninsula. The family that owns and operates the Fat Apples sets the tone for a relaxed, unique, welcoming and delicious escape from what passes as normal life and fare. Well worth a detour. Also, for walkers hiking the Coast Path,... More
