Hello Zac B, I am very happy to answer all your questions and response to your review of our establishment. First of all sorry for the late reply to your review but I personally wanted to respond to your review as I am responsible for everything that gets served from that kitchen. Now, I can't speak on behalf of all the other establishments that you refer to in your recent question but I am happy to advise that all of our steaks are bought in from our local butcher in Ballina. They are freshly cooked to order on the chargrill in front of customers in our open kitchen. There is definitely no pre-fab, no pre-cooking in cryovac bags and they are definitely not cheap. Our steaks are Angus cuts that are from and are grass fed animals for the majority of their lives, then finished off on a small amount of grain before heading to the abattoir. They all have the stamp of approval from the 'Meat Standards Australia' ensuring that they are a high quality of beef. The cattle are processed through the local Casino abattoir and then sent to our butcher, who then cuts the steaks to the correct weight that we specify and delivers them to our door 6 days a week. There are no flavour or salt additives, just good quality Australian beef cooked to order with no tricks or sneakiness like you suggested. For all the people with allergies they can rest easy because there are no additives at all! Now as you stated in your review, unfortunately you did not receive a steak that was up to standard, and for that I apologise. My team and I are very passionate about fresh, great tasting food and are working hard on a daily basis to achieve this. To hear that we did not meet this standard with your meal or any other customers is always very dis-heartening and something that we set out to rectify immediately. So we thank you for your feedback. However, I would have preferred you came and talked to myself or anyone else in the club at the time of your visit to get facts and allow us to resolve your concerns before you wrote your review. I would like to invite you to come and visit again sometime soon, so that I can show you through our back of house areas, where you can see all of our freshly cut steaks and other fresh products such as seafood, fruit and vegetables that we get delivered, prepared and cooked on a daily basis. I could also show you the chargrill where we cook every steak to order. Then the next time when you dine with us I am sure we can change your perception of the steaks here. I appreciate the opportunity that you have given us to inform current and future customers of our establishment about the high quality fresh produce that we use.
