Love this pub. Great outdoors area. Music 7 nights a week. Good food & drinks. Lives up to its name & seems to have good local patronage which indicates how good it is!

This is a cool bar in the former train station of Byron Bay. Live music and a couple of drinks! It was a nice evening!

Great casual pub with a large open courtyard facing toward the old railway station carpark and Johnson Street. Large long tables which are good for sharing. We were visitors to Byron and met some friends here who were travelling up the coast and we wanted somewhere we could meet and take their two young kids. The bar staff at St... More

Dropped in for a beer and loved the large outdoor area. This place is definitely unique but I found it to lack atmosphere. Quite expensive.

The food here is clearly made with love and is some of the best food in Byron. The chef is a cool dude and loves his food. Highly recommended! Music is always great too.

We went because we were starving, everything came out quickly. The food was great, we had the Chicken Parm & Chicken, bacon, mushroom pasta. The beers were about $10 a pint. The live music was nice, not too loud. It slowed down by 10ish (It was a Tuesday) and that's when we went onto our next stop.

Had a great time hanging out here for the live music. The name says it all - there is a railway in the back and the people are very friendly. But that doesn't just count for this place, that was pretty much true for everywhere in Byron.

Went for a bit with friends and was pleasantly surprised. Great rustic pub with live bands and great food. We had the usual pub grub of chicken parmas with chips (we chose veggies) and sirloin steak with mash potato and veggies. The cost was $69 for the 3 meals but we were very satisfied with what we got. Go try... More

When i am in town i always look forward to having a few beers at the Rails. Nice and friendly atmosphere, good food and selection of beers.
