Went on a Sunday night for fish fry. $55 per head for a huge meal! Soup, then fish and a bunch of different salads then many amazing desserts. Great staff and atmosphere is casual and relaxed.

This restaurant offers of different nights a Fish Fry and a set menu meal. Both meals are served as a Buffet with endless returns for more mains and desserts. The food is mouth watering and oh so delicious.

We could not really fault any of the Sunday night 3 course fish fry buffet, apart from perhaps the price. The pumpkin soup was very nice. The fish buffet itself was excellent. There was a plentiful supply of tasty lightly battered King fish which kept on being topped up. Scallops and King Prawns were brought round to tables. Later on,... More

The Sunday night fish fry buffet is definitely recommended. It is a three course meal starting with pumpkin soup and then a buffet of freshly caught kingfish (as much as you can eat) and an array of delicious salads followed by a selection of really yummy deserts. There is also a well stocked bar. There is seating on the veranda,... More

We enjoyed a delicious meal here with friends and were able to take our own bottle of wine which was great. The waitresses are delightful happy and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent and the helpings generous and good value.

In this small but delightful restaurant tucked away in a palm tree garden, you can choose to sit indoors or out on the verandah. The service is quick, friendly and efficient and you are well looked after throughout the evening. The menu is small however very worthy of consideration, the meals are wholesome and very well presented with flare and... More

We dined at Beachcomber on NYE 31 Dec 2006. It was booked by friends who were staying there and the meal was described as a traditional Lord Howe Island 'fish fry' dinner. The 3 course buffet was amazing - I was expecting fried fish, but what I didn't expect were the king prawns and oysters, great salads, grilled fish and... More

We had the three-course fish buffet. Slightly expensive in pure dollar terms at A$55 per head, but possibly the best value on the island in terms of quantity. We left absolutely stuffed and thankful for the walk back to our accommodation (they do offer lifts but we opted for the calorie-burning option). First course was soup and bread, main course... The setting was lovely on the verandah amongst the palm tree garden. The food was delicious, very fresh and the service very good. The price was comparative to other restaurants on the island but in some ways better value with good servings of high quality and a wide selection of wines and again good value. I would definitely go there... More
