We camped here for a few days as a family group. We enjoyed happy hour daily and ordered meals from the kitchen. All staff were friendly and the part-owner Brenda had great information about the pub's history, right from the beginning. It's a lovely village. We will return often.

It is a rustic place - good to sit outside and watch the occasional car go past - whilst we did not eat the food looked good - standard pub fare

We rode a bike up to the hunter valley and stopped off at the wollombi tavern. The outlook was beautiful. People camping out the back of the public . We had a lovely pub lunch. The little town was fantastic.

Why is it that Cooks/Chefs struggle to make a decent & proper "Dianne Sauce"? I ordered schnitzel, Chips & salad. Chips were well cooked which isn't too difficult with frozen pre cut and deep fried. The salad was very basic but drenched in too much dressing, although it had a lovely flavour. Schnitzel was nice but the biggest disappointment was... More

As long as you don't mind Motorbike riders (and I don't) this is a great place to go for lunch. We took our Border Collie for a ride and had lunch and a few drinks here. The Pub has a few aces of grass behind it so a perfect place to take a dog on a leash. The food was... More
