Arrived early and sat at the bar. House chardonny Liberty Creek $5 a glass. Bartender very nice and helpful. I had a cheeseburger wrap and their house fries done crispy. Both very good. My spouse had marinated pork tenderloin which he really liked ,a salad and huluski. I tasted each and thought them delicious. I gave this place a 5... More

Went there for dinner with my daughter. Was not a fan. The pot roast was very fatty, and the gravy was definitely reheated , and fatty as well. They literally gave 3 chopped pieces of carrot with it, and the mashed potatoes were instant and were sticky and really gross. The only positive I can say is that the waitress,... More

My husband and I went to check the place out as a possible venue for our daughters' baptism celebration. Well after waiting an hour and a half for 3 grilled cheese, a burger and a brisket sandwich, the grilled cheese was too tough for my daughter to even bite into, and a medium well burger was bloody in the middle.... Decided to eat here for Easter dinner and it was delicious. Some of the best smoked ham I ever had. Homemade lemon meringue pie was to die for.

While looking for a late night meal on a weeknight, your choices are usually limited to diners and bars. Diners around this area aren’t open 24 hours so we settled on Pappy’s Schoolhouse. It’s a small local bar. Bar foo can usually go one of two ways… frozen food that you could have picked up at the supermarket yourself or... More

We went there expecting to find the same quality food we were served before the new owners. We did not have a dinner because we had always went there for Bar food. The clams (100% increase in price ) were dry, barely warm and tasted like they were steamed hours ago. The crab soup not so good, the wings ok but... More

First time visit since new ownership. We liked the smaller menu. My husband had the chicken cheese steak and he thought it was pretty good. He said the roll was very good! I had the tuna melt. It was unusual in that it was a sandwich and not open faced, but it was very good. Will probably go again.

We stopped for a burger & fries for dinner. Thought we would try it since it changed owners. We were very disappointed. We have been customers there for over 40 years through 5 different owners. The drink & beer prices went up & the food was very small portions. We left & went somewhere else to eat again since we... More

Stopped in with my wife and daughter for the Friday Fish Fry after attending a local Christmas event. I was eager to try this because it is a great value/all you can eat and I love Fish and Chips. I wasn't disappointed...big chunks of Cod fried perfectly (not fillets which I guess minimizes waste for an all you can eat... More

I have been here in the past as a bike ride stopover. It was never a destination. With the new ownership, new menu and new atmosphere it is well worth the drive. It's so close to penns peak it's a perfect place to go before! Pretty much everything is homemade from scratch. The meats are smoked on premise. The sides... More
