OK, this is perfect. The weisswurst, the liver sausage, the great rye breads, Cambazola Cheese, and so much more. But, the clients are so loyal there is a German homecoming when most of the regulars enter. The German flows- now I do not understand German but I do understand great food and hospitality and the Hidden Gem is perfect. The... More

I haven't taken home anything yet that I haven't liked, and the prices are very reasonable. The potato salad (just like my great grandma from Germany used to make!) and the breads are awesome, as everybody says here. The sausages are all great too, and I just started trying the lunch meats, which are likewise delish. And Margot even has... More

I would go back just to chat with the owner (Margaret, I think). We wandered in to kill some time and were immediately transported back to our years in Germany. Sights, sounds, smells, and tastes were authentic. We spent more time talking with the precious owner than we did picking out our food. Go! Go! Go! Oh, and when you... More

Fraulie's is the real deal! I lived in Germany and have family there and walking into this great little store is like transporting myself there. Everything she has to offer is truly authentic. And she is so helpful and kind and just great to talk to. If you like German food from candy to bread to salads to everything, this... More

What a great find just outside of Harrisburg. Genuine and delicious. Just pick your favorites and Margot makes your sandwich. Loved it.

This is a real, true German delicatessen. There are no tables, but the delightful lady who runs the store will charm you and make you sandwiches. Many food items from Germany and Austria are available, the strudel is to die for

The first time I met Margot, I was smitten - not just with her quaint little deli with all its varied products, but by her. Fortunately, she wasn't busy at the time and we chatted for 15 minutes. Six weeks later, I stop by and she calls me by name - she's incredible. I buy my sibling(12) Christmas gifts there.... More

Oh my goodness! This is a dangerous place! Bratwursts, knockwursts, weisswursts, and German, salted, cured meats of all kinds! This is my favorite deli on the planet. It is owned by a beautiful, little, German lady (Bavarian) who has some of the best German foods in stock that I've ever eaten. Her homemade German potato salad is absolutely phenomenal...the best... When I walked in, some longtime customers were speaking German with the owner... such a wonderful first experience. Once I was waited on the gracious owner was so nice to talk to and made wonderful suggestions. She made me a Ham and Cheese Sandwich which every part of it was imported and delicious. I also bought fresh made German potato... More

This Deli has the best German potato salad in the area. Perhaps the only....Superfresh in Etters used to carry it, but it wasn't as good & now they are gone. I was taking State civil service tests for about 6 months & would often stop here on my way home on a Thurs or Fri to get the potato salad.... More
