So I have been to this restaurant a few times, and each time the orders have been SLOW, and I'm talking it's slow when there's hardly anybody here either. The wait staff needs to be retrained in etiquette, because every time the waiter sees us, he rolls his eyes. We are not being unreasonable customers, we ask for normal things-... More

Two of us had lunch - I tried ordering a Prickly Pear Margarita - they had never heard of one - but then the waitstaff spoke minimal English. I ordered a Chicken Fajita with soft taco'sand the other order was Steak Taco's. Everything was fresh and hot but in no way is a margarita worth $11.25

I ordered chicken and shrimp fajitas with no beef, as the combination called for. After eating 1 fajita I noticed a piece of beef. I was so upset and sat for 5 minutes to collect my thoughts and not get carried away. We all make mistakes but this was terrible on my first visit. The food was great but I... More

Not your typical chain food. This is real family based recipes and authentic mexican food. Now in a larger location than it's original spot, offers for a much more relaxed and spacious dining experience. Many, many combos to choose from which allows for a taste of many items. We especially love the chili rellenos. Margaritas and other bar drinks are... More

Traveling through PA and wanted to try some northern Mexican food. It was good and portions large but service was awful. Took forever to get waited on and there was hardly anyone there at 3:00 in afternoon. I ordered nachos and all good except they use cheese whiz - I am used to grated cheese. Salsa was good but you... I don't remember the dishes we had, but all were excellent. Great flavor, generous portions. Be aware that if they say the dish is spicy, it is spicy (although still reasonable). Service was friendly and quick and the food arrived quickly and hot. I'll definitely go again the next time I'm in Monroeville.

The margaritas are made fresh. No mixes here! Also the food is always fresh and hot. The prices are decent for the most part. There has been a HUGE improvement since they moved a few years ago.

Great authentic food. Visited for the first time recently and was pleasantly surprised. Queso is excellent. Menu is extensive. Can't go wrong!

We used to be regulars at this location of El Campesino (and their former location further down in the plaza). We moved from the area and haven't been here for awhile. We found ourselves In the area recently and decided to try it to see if anything has changed. I'm pleased to say it was just as good as we... More
