This restaurant came highly recommended by Trip Advisor, so we knew we would not be disappointed. Wine list was all local with a few nationally known, that I didn’t care for. This is okay if you’ve sampled them all, a bit harder to navigate if you haven’t. I ended up with a Chardonnay, that would have not been my first... More

We went to Freeport for breakfast today. I had the Freeport Sampler which is 2 eggs with sausage, bacon, and ham along with home fries (with or without onions), toast and jelly. This sounds pretty normal, but at Freeport they make the bacon, ham, and country sausage. They also will sell you some to take home. This breakfast was fabulous... More

This is the type of establishment where you don't just recommend any specific dish because they have so many great choices. Okay, I have my favorites, but as varied as there menu may be, everyone likely has something they especially like. With me it's the Freeport scrod that had a very special topping that I've not had anywhere else. This... More

Nice clean place with excellent food. Good drinks. Save room for a dessert. Cozy kind of atmosphere. Love the decor and great location. Great for a break while Steelhead fishing on 16 mile creek.

Freeport is where the locals go to have a good meal. Whether breakfast, lunch or dinner, you will not be disappointed! Try some locally made wine! You are in the heart of our beautiful wine country! They are known especially for in house smoked meats that can be purchased by the pound to take home. Lake Erie perch, Smith hotdogs or prime... More

The Freeport is unusual in that they make their own smoked ham, sausage, and smoked bacon. You can buy some to take home. I had the Eggs Benedict and they used their smoked ham as on top of the english muffin and covered by the egg and hollandaise sauce. Great! My wife french toast served with their homemade bacon. Great!... More

Everything here is delicious and the wait staff amazing. The value is off the charts. Take home a pound of the house made bacon or sausage and you'll never buy it at the grocery store again. Portions are huge so you'll probably have some to take home.

We had the Fresh Lake Erie perch sandwich and the open faced pot roast sandwich . Both were good but the perch was excellent. Service was also professional and prompt ! We also shared a fried pickle appetizer and the was excellent .. I recommend if you are up here visiting wineries to go see them.

My parents live in the area so every time I visit, we typically go to Freeport. The deep fried mushrooms can't be beat! They are lightly beer-battered and huge! Absolutely delicious😋 In addition to the mushrooms, we ordered a meatball sub this time. The meatballs were obviously homemade and were also delicious! Served on a soft sub bun with a... More

This is my first visit to the area. We ordered the fried mushrooms to start. They were crisp and meaty. We then split a meatball sub and it was fantastic . Audra was our server and she was great also. She made sure everything was perfect.
