This is a local restaurant for us, We have always enjoyed the good food, nice selection of favorite dishes, good service, and very nice cozy atmosphere! A favorite place to go for a nice meal.
It's a great family-night-out spot. Food is a bit inconsistent but overall good. Haven't found my go-to meal yet though.
Hawkeyes has your standard tavern menu - enough options that anyone could find something they like. It's basic food at reasonable prices.

I have never had a bad experience here...food or service. Always clean and customer friendly. Always busy but waiting is rarely long. The bar area is cozy too.
Try the grass-fed burgers; they are really excellent, if a bit messy to eat (that's why we have napkins, after all). I sometimes love the portobello sandwich, but they also sometimes overwhelm it with caramelized onions. Every salad we have tried has been solidly good....More
