Favorite relaxation place for a cup of joe and great people watching. Desserts are good too and the guys behind the counter make it fun.

Had a "little" breakfast bowl that was almost more than I could eat. Enjoyed it with a nice coffee. Great spot to have in the neighborhood! Haven't been in the evenings yet, but often see they have bands.

This place is awesome, and for the thousands of repeat customers they have, it is hard to find any truth in the posts of 2 (perhaps) people that have actually gone there. Everything is above standards. You cannot get better coffee anywhere. The food is tasty, and in many cases reaching Gourmet level. and you always feel welcome. The music... More

Steel City, what can I say? It keeps rising and dying and even under new ownership that remains the same. The food quality is less than stellar. I had the flatbread and was greatly displeased by the taste as well as the quantity presented to me. The portions are chintzy, like the owners are trying to reduce food costs by... More

We are terribly sorry that you did not enjoy your experience at Steel City. "...they are too busy being hateful to one another to notice..."? You dare to say that our personal lives have no place in business, then pretend to know enough about us to pass judgement? We would hope that you would have expressed any dissatisfaction directly with... More

In the past we used to frequent Steel City Coffee House. Then we stopped going. I simply didn't like the atmosphere and some of the "rules" the previous owners had. This past weekend, due to our usual coffee shop being closed, we went here with friends. I was pleasantly surprised. The coffee was good and the pastries were okay. Hopefully... More

This place, formerly one of our favorites for concerts, has recently changed hands, the changes they have made are not for the better! I should have known the evening would not go well. We had paid extra for reserve seating. When we arrived, they couldn't find our name on any of the tables, so they grabbed another person's card from... More

We are sorry that you feel that the changes being made at Steel City are not for the better and that you did not have a great experience. Since you are concerned, I would let you knew that the people who were "relocated" due to the error with your reserved seats were well taken care of and got a great... More

We met friends here to see Tin Bird Choir and just fell in love with the vibe of this place. Ultra laid-back and the perfect venue to chill and listen to some great music. I wish this wasn't an hour from us. We would be there every week. Great experience all around. We will be back!

I'd expect a coffee house venue to focus on the music. Patron comfort, food quality, beverages, all secondary. But at Steel City, I had a delightful surprise at all levels. After making a reservation online, our table was reserved and ready when we got there. For just $7 extra, our tickets included a dinner order. We got a nice hummus... More

This intimate little coffee house does so much to nurture the independent musician. We need more of these!

The place is nice and cozy. I ordered coffee and chocolate connoli, the connoli was very good, but the coffee was not that great. Weather was nice, so we enjoyed sitting outside. Service was good.
