This is a classic and mainstay P'burgh establishment. The decor is blue-collar Americana and the food and the service is great. If you are looking for a tasty breakfast that will hold you over for several hours, this is the place to have an awesome breakfast.

Don't let a bit of a line detour you and make sure you have cash (no cards accepted). We didn't have to wait very long (maybe 15 minutes) to get seated. We ended up sitting at the bar which was cozy. The quality of the food was excellent! Everything tasted delicious and our waitress was great. We had tried another... More

In Pittsburgh to see our daughter who is in grad school at Dusquene (Sp?). She was tied up one morning so my wife and I headed to Deluca's for a late breakfast but ended up having lunch. We've been here before (but had forgotten :-), for breakfast so decided to try the lunch menu which is extensive. Pretty typical diner,... More

We hit Deluca's a couple of mornings in Pittsburgh. It's down in 'The Strip' area and you cant't really go wrong here. The place is an institution in this town. Whether you get eggs or pancakes you will be very happy. Recommended.

Came here to see if the restaurant lived up to the positive reviews and it surely did not disappoint. Came on a Monday morning and there was a line outside the door but it moved fast, only waited 10-15 minutes for a table. Service was fast and friendly. The food was delicious and the portions were very large. Also thought... More

Reasonably large servings of standard breakfast fare with standard ingredients. I liked their potatoes and their pancakes.

The Strip District is a great place to visit, and Deluca's is well worth stopping in. We came for breakfast. Yes there was a lineup, but we really didn't wait that long. Maybe 10 minutes max. Is it fancy? Not at all, in fact it is very dated, retro. Is it noisy? Yep, the place was packed. Now let's get... More

Huge Portions. Their Fish sandwich is enough to feed two people. It comes on a mancini's hoagie roll and it's soooooo good. Everything is great though. Their Pittsburgh Style Salads have french fries on them, which might seem strange to non-locals, but it is super tasty! Just about everything you get is large enough to share if you're inclined. It's... More

Went to Pittsburgh for a steelers game. This was our last stop downtown before heading home to Michigan. There were 7 of us and everyone LOVED their food. I had the mixed grill and it kept me full for another 12 hours. Others had pancakes and hash and said theirs was a "taste of heaven" will definitely go back on... More

DeLuca's in the Strip District of Pittsburgh is the original DeLuca's Diner. Our diner is an old fashioned diner that has been in business since 1950. The new owners have owned and operated DeLuca's for over 25 years now maintaining the nostalgic feel and look of the original diner. DeLuca's is located on Penn Avenue, just look for the rooster on top of our building!
