Food just wasn't up to par. My husband is Italian and said, we are not going back. Service wasn't the greatest either. A bad night???? Possibility but we won't return. Pricey.
We have been to LIdia many times , a free standing building in Pittsburgh Strip district , with valet parking . The decor is impressive , high ceiling , upper level for private events . Restaurant with open kitchen lower level . Tables are spacious and comfortable , low noise level. Sunday brunch is very nice with a good spread... More
Simple and fine. GM Scott and server Danielle made our lunch a great experience. Pasta trio and salad, a glass of wine and cannoli with coffee was filling and enjoyable. The rest of the staff was personable and attentive. I wish I knew the name of the young man who attended to our table - very nice.
I'm Italian and I always have fun looking at Joe Bastianich performing at MasterChef shows (And, for the Italians, I love that IO MUORO!!!! :-) This said, since Joe's fortune and restaurant empire has started from Lidia's in Pittsburgh, and Lidia herself is a supposed cooking authority in the US, we had great expectations at Lidia's. Unfortunately, it was a... More
My step-daughter told us about this place and we decided to try it on our next visit to Pittsburgh. We were not disappointed! It has an upscale industrial feel on the inside (it's off the strip near the water). Service was excellent! I ordered the Pasta Trio, which gives you unlimited servings of the featured pasta of the day. On... More
My son and I decided to go eat at Lidia's on a Sunday evening and we had no problem parking our vehicle and getting a place to sit. It was a slow evening so it was perfect for us. The drinks were good and the food was amazing. Great pasta! The Valet attendant was very helpful and so were the... More
We had a delicious meal here. Some of us had the all you can eat pasta, along with a Caesar salad and a dessert. The pasta tasted very good and was steaming hot when they put them on our plates. We each had a favorite, so I can't say one was better than the other. One in our party had... More
When my wife and I heard Lidia Bastianich had a restaurant in Pittsburgh I didn't even bother to read the reviews before we went, we knew it had to be great, wrong. We have eaten at her restaurants in NYC and they are amazing. This place makes The Olive Garden look like a gourmet Italian restuarant compared to it. I... More
Scott M, I am very sorry to hear that your experience at Lidia's did not meet your expectations. Our goal is for every guest to have enjoyable experience each time they walk through the door. I appreciate feedback like this so that we can address it with our staff to improve on the quality and consistency of both our food... More
Though it was a super busy evening and service was a tad slow, the food was great. We did the three types of pasta that came with a salad and dessert. Two of three pastas that evening were excellent! The ravioli filled with goat cheese were light and creamy. The orecchiette pasta included pancetta, onions and peas and was in... More
