Bravo Franco has been closed on Penn for about a year. Reopened last summer as Peter Allan, who was the executive chef. Food is quite good at the new location

We have eaten here several times under various names. It is very expensive for very basic dishes. On top of that we had to ask for bread and coffee, which were always cold. Note to chef: there are other spices in Italian cooking besides salt. Clam sauce and piccata nearly inedible because of salt. Bland squid and the chocolate mousse... More

Sat at the bar because we didn't have reservations, really enjoyed eating there. Very nice staff, loved the atmosphere.

I visited Bravo Franco in 2014. I was in town with a friend to see a show at Byham, and we were looking for a place to eat that was open and didn't require a reservation. The hostess saw us at the door and invited us in. The staff was very nice and attentive. The food was great!

First time there since it became known as Peter Mitchell's. Staff and service were great. My veal dish was undersized and overpriced. What previously was a free side of pasta is now an $8 side of approximately 1-2 ounces of rigatoni. Very disappointing in contrast to a very similar meal ordered there less than a year ago.

I see that Bravo Franco has a new name but not new ownership. Hope the new venture is better than the last. We stopped at Bravo Franco after the theater, and it was incredibly disappointing. Expensive, bad service, and the food was just average for the price. I had the pasta with just marinara sauce, and it could have come... More

We stopped in on a Monday night because the renovations that had been recently done was inviting. We should have kept on walking! We sat at the bar hoping to get a few glasses of wine. After about 10 minutes the bar tender who had been ignoring us decided to ask what we wanted. We asked for wine by the... More

Had dinner at the bar due to packed house prior to theatre. Each course delicious fresh and flavorful. Service at bar was excellent, veal tender and tasty, sauce lucious.

Have eaten here many times but had stopped because we were 't pleased with the food. However, we thought we would give the restaurant another try. We were not pleased with the service, and less pleased with the food. No attention to detail food is short on flavor and no presentation at all. Probably will not be returning to Bravo... More
