Must eat at Aiello's to get a sense of how good pizza can be. It is one of those experiences that makes one feel happy for two or three days afterwards. It reminded me of a line from a Charles Causley poem that goes, 'Where the wheat is sweet as an angel's feet'....as someone who is dismayed at how restaurants... More

Visiting my kids in Pittsburgh. The know I love good pizza so they suggested two restaurants in Squirrel Hill (I will not mention the other). We ordered a takeout pizza with Calamata olives and roasted red peppers. It was terrific. Grew up eating Brooklyn pizza and this is great stuff. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. Treat... Nicer people that at Napoli's but the sauce here is WAY too sweet for my taste. White pizza a better choice here. In terms of taste I rate the block: 1 = Napolis; 2 = Aiello's; 3 = Mineos

This is definitely one of my top 2-3 places for pizza. This is my go to when I just want a solid pizza choice. Highly recommend.

Yes, both Aiello's and Mineo's are pretty good pizzas, but also give a try to Napoli Pizza one block up near Beacon Street. In addition to very good dough, sauce, staff, etc., one of their hallmarks is that their excellent sausage is crumbled and completely covers the pie.

Great pizza. Friendly people. They are working on an expansion to the restaurant part. Favorite pizza in Squirrel Hill.

What is it? the sauce? the crust? the lighting? the high school kids gathered after the football game? not sure, but by far, BEST pizza hands down in Pittsburgh.

Having been recommended by a co-worker, I was excited to get a pizza from Aiello's. The restaurant is a small, local pizza joint that in additional to pizza offers custom calzones and stromboli. Focusing on the pizzas, you start with a red pie or white pie and add your desired toppings. The pizza cook/cashier was friendly and working frantically to... More

I did a week to week comparison of Aiello's to Mineo's... While I love Mineo's IMO Aiello's is the BEST. It's an awesome flavor and not greasy. Just the right amount of cheese!! Don't kid yourself. Get here!! And they are doing a remodel and expansion.
