This is a cool little place in Central Lawrenceville on Butler St. They have the bar on one side and a little room on the other side where they have small musical acts and open mic nights. Went to see a concert there, was a "listening" room type of crowd for about 30 people but was really nice. The food... More

Stopped here before a concert in Millvale one day. Nice little place; we were on the restaurant side and not the bar. They only had the barbeque menu, not a regular menu. The pulled pork was really good! I would like to see their regular menu items and try them next time.

New to Pittsburgh, I have tried a number of places in the Central Lawrenceville neighborhood. While a great number of places are more upscale (like Tender), I have the practice of asking bartenders where they go when off work. Hambone's is the frequent reply. Very friendly staff -- who also seem to come back to Hambone's when they aren't working.... More

Although you'd never expect it from the first sight of this business, the food here is absolutely amazing. It's interior is a bit dated and in need of a makeover, top to bottom, but just like your Grandma told you "don't judge a book by its cover"! Not only are each of the dishes here amazing, but the different events... More

I don't know the tradition of Hambone's, but it's clearly been around for awhile. My husband and I peeked at the menu at the new and trendy "Industry" down the street, but we weren't in the mood for the noise and the $14 Reuben Sandwich. He suggested Hambone's, as he had been there a few years back for lunch. I... More

I went here with a group of eleven co-workers after the restaurant across the street did not open as advertised. They have a great sandwich menu for lunch. The food was good for a pub. They did a good job handling such a large group as they had to pull several tables together to fit our group. The décor is... More

A group of us were there on Friday July 3rd during the day. Our bartender, the cute skinny brunette with glasses and nice smile (leaving her name out because it is against the rules), was great. She was funny and made great drinks. Drink prices were reasonable. We will definitely be back.

Stopped in for a bite to eat. Looked a bit like a dive bar, but the food was surprisingly good. Had a live band playing on Saturday night.

Stumbled on this eclectic neighborhood bar ... with lots of character, from the patrons sharing stools and booths with you as well as the dated however well maintained décor! Lively, spirited HH's, tasty food choices with several unique twists to traditional bar fare. Wait Staff are fun, pleasant and genuinely engaging. Looking for a "city vibe" comparable to nabes in... Hambones, the bar(on one side)and the restaurant on the other is where I always stop on my way out of Pittsburgh heading home. The restaurant is awesome both price wise and the food is incredible. The specials are even more incredible price and taste wise. I'm hungry for Hambone's just talking about them. the Hambone's Stew is a soup like... More
